Where Andy and Rye met at two masquerade parties, them both being for new years and they ended up liking each other way more than anticipated.

(Third person POV)
The blue Venetian mask on Rye's face cloaked his identity as he weaved his way through the many other guests at the masquerade new years eve ball. His grey suit pressed to perfection, brown cury hair smartly swept back, polished shoes shining against the white marble floor. His brown eyes piercing around the room. But they got fixated on a gentleman much shorter than himself across the room. He has a pink mask on, dressed in a black pressed suit, his blonde hair neatly styled up on his head, the sides a light brown but Rye thought it suited him very well. Rye watched as the blonde was also panning his eyes around the room not looking fazed at all about being here, until their eyes met. Mysterious blue clashing with intreigued brown. They kept eye contact for a while before Rye found himself not being able to resist it any longer and he walked over to the blonde.
"I couldn't help but notice your uninterested expression." Rye's stated as he watched the man closely.
"It's a rather boring event if you ask
me. Too many ordinary people for my
liking." The man replied in a voice that to Rye sounded like silk.
"I agree with you, but why are you here then if it's so boring to you?" Rye asked.
"Why are you?" The man echoed.
"I was forced to leave my flat by my friend." Rye said and pointed to a very drunk Harvey who was dancing with two girls on the dance floor to the right of them.
"His parents organised this event and because I am his best friend I had no
choice but to attend." Rye answered annoyingly.
"Fair enough, I'm here because I have
nothing better to do and I stupidly
agreed to attend, needing something to do on a friday night." He said. "But I dont regret it." He added looking at Rye and smiling at him. Rye felt a pull on his heart strings as he sees those plump pink lips form a smile with cute little dimples on his cheeks, his ocean eyes luring him in.
"Oh really well that's good, what's your name? If you don't mind me asking?" Rye asked starting to like this man.
"You're so formal, such a gentleman, I'm Andy, Andy Fowler. And you?"
"Ryan Beaumont but you can call me Rye." He replied and they shook hands respectfully.
"Would you like to dance, or we could take a walk?" Rye suggested.
"I'm not a very good dancer actually." Andy said scratching the back of his head nervously, a slight nervous blushing forming on his cheeks.
"A walk it is then." Rye said with a grin and led the two of them through the crowd of people, out into the gardens out the back.
The summer air of the night was humble and warm but a shallow and gentle breeze blew throught, cooling the two men as they walked side by side.
"So, Andy. What do you do job wise?"
"I just work in a shop at the moment but I sing on stage in venues in the meantime which is amazing I love doing that, what about you?" Andy said partially lying to him, but Rye couldn't help but smile as he watched Andy's saphire eyes sparkle when he spoke about what he loves.
"Oh that sounds amazing, well my job's quite boring I'm afraid, I'm a reporter for a newspaper, so nothing special." Rye said chuckling.

"'No that sounds exciting to me." Andy said.
"Well its not in the slightest, there isnt any good stories to cover at the moment." Rye said broadly.
"What about those recent robberies, about that Fovvs guy that's been breaking into places and killing people. Him only leaving behind the dead bodies and a signature of Fovvs carved out onto his victims neck. It's a bit Jack the ripper type isnt it?" Andy asked.
"Yeah, it was on the news this morning, Fovvs had broken into the bank of England killing all the people and wanting to take all the money. He got caught but he escaped as he killed the police officer that took him away in a car. No one knows how he did it either because he was hand cuffed. He really is a genius and intelligent man. They even got his photo and put it up on fliers and all over the news telling people not to go near him. But for what I saw he looked so beautiful, I have to say." Rye could have sworn he saw a smirk on Andy's lips from that but it was gone within a second.
"Yeah I would like to meet him one day but that would be a death wish." Andy said and Rye chuckled at his words.
"Indeed but oh I'd love to do an interview with him or even speak to him, but I would die before I got close to him."
"Yeah you probobly would." Andy said and they both laughed and continued their walk around the gardens, enjoying each others company and starting up another interesting conversation.
"I must say Andy, out of all the people here I'm glad I approached you." Rye said honestly and Andy looked at him and smiled.
"Oh really? And why is that?" He asked in a sarcastic tone, something Rye now found that Andy did a lot.
"You can hold actual inteligent conversaions without being stupid or boring me to death." Rye admitted.
"The same goes for you. All guys talk about is video games or boring topics and if you talk to a girl all she does is flirt with you. They really cant see that I'm gay and I dont get it... Sometimes I just want to kill them all." Andy said the last part under his breath but Rye heard it and agreed with him.
"But you have improved my night Rye." He added.
"Oh well I'm glad to hear it." Rye smiled back at him.
"Well it's almost 12 the party will finish soon we should get back inside." Rye said turning around and looking at the big clock that was on the back of the buildings wall shining onto the garden.
"Oh right yes of course." Andy said following him back inside.
"Well, I might as well go find my friend." Rye said.
"Yes ok um I hope to see you around." Andy said and Rye smiled at him, taking his hand and kissing his knuckles. Making Andy blush and not be able to wipe the big smile off his face, before Rye let go and disappearing into the crowd. Leaving Andy alone with his rapidly beating heart.
