Demise

Enduring fiery insomnia when will you leave?

Groaning dead creaks my head has achieved

Gripped in dizziness I am weak to the core

Moping in destitution I have found death's door

A notorious monster all its own,

My weak resolve is easily blown

Black images race past my thoughts blurred

Unable to speak hope, my words slip deterred

Mesmeric smoke has coiled tools of deceit

Upon my meaty substance death would eat

Devilish grins whirl through my crumbling sight

I suppose not everything turns out right

Half purposed strides pound through my brain

Clanging screams reveal my wicked bane

Stumbling through a visage known well to me

I'm fighting against my dying body

Trumpeting song at last blares through

Lurching forward that sickly light only grew

"Respond, respond" I fitfully mumbled

A dark barrage back to me rumbled

I was not one to listen for promises

Fettered black ink in me dismisses

Expired twinkles of  thoughts live in ruin

Demise is here, are you lured in?
