As the married couple walked around exploring all the activities Marguerite couldn't help but feel truly happy. As she was with a man whom loved her and whom she loved too. She couldn't help but hold Simon's hand who simply smiled as kissed her hand in response to the public affection Marguerite did.

While looking at the piglet's Marguerite asked the man next to her, " What's the prize if you win?" To which the young man replied, " Why, slaughter, of course." Which instantly caused Marguerite to become tense. For the simple fact, she didn't like the idea of killing innocent animals, in fact, the thought of her eating food that comes from dead animals makes her disgusted and truly question her own ways of eating.

Marguerite turned to look at Simon whom simply chuckle before hugging her.

"But it's—" Marguerite complained in Simons arms.

"I know...sorry love, " Simon replied as Marguerite frowned.

"As the duke has granted me the honor of opening our village fair with this contest, it is after careful consideration that I have decided...that all three pigs have tied! There is no winner so no slaughter or killing, " Marguerite enthused causing the crowd to murmur in confusion. Before resulting into applause. Much to Mrs. Colson's dismay.

As well as cooking with them.

"They look lovely, " Marguerite complimented as Simon as she saw the food the villagers made.

Marguerite tried the desserts, in specific the pie and she felt euphoria. It tasted delicious.

"Simon we must order some this tastes so good, " Marguerite enthused as Simon simply nodded as he was just enjoying how we'll the villagers reacted with Marguerite being the new duchess. Simon knew he made the right choice in marrying Marguerite, she was great with people and very much different in her own way. She drank, read, played music, she basically could do anything and was not like everyone, but her emotions were like a woman. But Simon didn't care because he loved her. He always has. He just doesn't know how to publicly say it. But the more he's with Marguerite the more he feels confident in telling her about his love for her.
