I know, I know. I could be doing way more useful stuff then this. Like doing more of those expression drawings or maybe actually writing story content for you all.
Be patient. My brain is very picky about what and when it gets motivated about, okay?
Total sidenote, but is it possible and acceptable to have a fave couple/ship from a show you don't really know or watch much? Just saying cause that's kinda what happened with this drawing.

Lapis Lazuli and Peridot from Steven Universe as Pokemon, specifically as a Primaria and a Lucario respectively.
No one requested this I promise. I just happen to get curious about Lapis' character after listening to That Distant Shore (Lapis is basically the Cartoon Network equivalent of Crona and I love her for it-) and I found out a friend of mine (chaosgod11) doesn't just love the show but is also a devoted Lapis and Peridot shipper. And thing lead to another, and I happened to think of what these two would look like as Pokemon and, well, I stayed up to midnight spontaneously drawing these two as Pokemon. 😅
Like I said I'm not a Steven Universe fan like most of you all probably are, but I do listen to some of the songs and, well, I'm apparently a Lapidot shipper now. :P
I chose Primaria for Lapis mostly for the water connection, but Lapis does also have a singing voice and, well, she just looks so good as a Primaria. And I picked Lucario for Peridot mostly for the steel/metal connection and for the fact Lucario was the only good steel Pokemon that looked good for Peridot's design. Especially since Lucario is one of the only steel Pokemon that was shorter than Primaria. Plus Peridot works as a fighting type as well as a steel type.
Fyi, if Peridot Lucario looks a bit off in design, just know that the light yellow hair thing Peridot has came very last, and I had wanted to put Lucario's spikes in the center of the stars but with everything else going in to it I just couldn't make it work without getting the paper all messy. At least Lapis is beautiful as she should be. ^^
Hope you lot enjoyed this. Surprisingly had some fun drawing and coloring these two gems as Pokemon, and it's got me in the mood to draw more characters as Pokemon. I kinda got an urge to draw Soul Eater characters as Pokemon (because I'm predictable like that) so don't be surprised if that becomws a thing eventually.
