Once more, this all from The Mimic, and I'm not fluent.
This photo is of a yokai named, Taka on'na, meaning "tall woman".
Here's a clearer picture of her that I found
The Japanese letters were hard to figure out, mainly because I couldn't figure out the second kanji.
After some trial and error, followed by me actually playing The Mimic and going to see it up close for myself, I think it says, "〇入る女", (Rei Hairu on'na) just VERY stylized. I originally thought it was ス (su) or something, but 〇スる女 doesn't translate to anything- with the exception of 女.
To break it down, 〇 doesn't have a specific meaning, rather, marks when something is correct? It's hard to explain, but it's like a checkmark. 入る Means "To enter" and "to break into", and of course, 女 means "woman".
It probably means "Entering woman", or "Woman breaking in". Either of those.
Which would make sense, because Taki on'na are frequently spotted peering into the second-story windows of homes.
I assume the creator took that image because it's similar to Hachisaku-sama, whom The Mimic's witch is based on.
I've already translated the kanji here, it says 荒理村 (arari mura) meaning "Arari Village", but I noticed some Japanese by it
You can't see it here, but it says, "了りンン", (Ryōri n'n) which 了 means finished and り means.. a lot of things, but considering how it's by 理, it probably means reason, principal, and logic. It's probably just for pronunciation purposes, most people that have learned Japanese can read katakana and hiragana
Anyway,
The one on the left is 銀座 ホテル (Ginza hoteru) which translates to Gazina Hotel.
The one on the right is 刀两节 (Dāo liǎng jié, in Chinese pronounciation at least) and it's probably in Chinese, which, I don't have a trustable translator for. 刀 (ha, Japanese pronounciation) means blade, but 两节 (Liǎng jié) means nothing in Japanese. So, according to Google translate, in Chinese it means, "Knife two knots" which, I don't trust nor do I think it says that. But it's the best I can do. Jisho only works with Japanese.
Just assume it's a Chinese restaurant.
ようこそ (Yōkoso) means welcome!
This was before the maze in chapter I, right before Chapter I (II). It says "死の家", (shi no ie) meaning House of Death.
That's all I've got for now lol.
Both excited and nervous for when the squad does The Mimic Chapter III, because I'm guessing I'll have to translate more Japanese for no reason other than hyperfixation go brrrrr

Art, Ideas, Updates, and randomness
AleatòriamentI'll be posting art, writing out story concepts, and updates on my life and stuff. I will also be a little more provocative, not as much as I am on my main, but to the point that I will be saying some naughty words. I will also be more open about...
