Both are comic book villains hailing from a fictional Ancient Egypt. Both were once slaves who died and had their bodies locked up in a pyramid, but after waking up thousands of years later (and pretty pissed off), they've gained superpowers and became powerful tyrants bent on conquering the world
Both had their names changed after gaining their powers (En Sabah Nur changed his named to "Apocalypse" and Theo-Adam was named "Black Adam" by the Wizard)
Both served as one of the main adversaries to a superhero group (X-Men and the Justice Society respectively) before joining the good side
Both draw powers from godly entities (Celestials for Apocalypse and Egyptian gods for Black Adam)
Both expressed a genuine desire to use their abilities for good before an intervention by a villain (Kang and Blaze respectively) led to their falling to villains
