PERCY JACKSON

"Hurry!" I yelled to Luke, pushing a mortal family to his vehicle, "We have to get these mortals out of the battle scene! Order will land in five minutes and take out any traces of life around her!"

"But Percy!" Luke shouted back, hoisting a small boy into the large car, "There isn't a vehicle for you! What are you gonna do? Fly back? Order's gonna blast you straight out of the sky the moment she lands!"

I shook my head, placing a hand on Luke's shoulder.

"Protect everyone for me, Lukey Boy. I'm going in."

Before I could turn away, I saw a family of four hobbling through the streets, obviously confused, anxiously trying to get on a car and ride to safety. All of Manhattan was. Because Order had to pick the city with the most tourists so she could do maximum damage. Well, guess what, bitch? Yeah. The Chaos Army's here to stop you! Then, I realized who these people were. Sally Jackson-Blofis, Paul Blofis, and... my baby siblings Estelle and Max. Before they could spot me, I turned Luke's attention to them.

"Get the last of them and hurry up. Order's coming. The army may have left but she ain't backing down. Go."

I gave Luke one last bro-hug. I had a feeling I wasn't making it out of this battle complete again. And I knew someone, me or Order, was going to die today. But... it didn't feel like the last battle to me, either. I watched as Luke's car sped off, leaving me alone in the streets, waiting for Order to come and try to invade Olympus.

Chaos was there, putting up a shield that prevented anyone from teleporting or traveling there with magic. That way, Order had no way of getting up to Olympus, where everyone was being kept right now, including select families. So I stood, weapons ready, cloak waving in the wind, hair blowing, despite the large hat I had on. I was ready.

ANNABETH CHASE

As the last of the selected families made it in, I checked with Chiron, who said all the rest of the mortals were in Camp Half-Blood, where the barrier the army put up was preventing monsters and Order to come in there, too. Now, no one was exposed to Order's antics. Ha! We'd won! I looked back to the army only to find eight people. Not nine. Where was Percy?

I felt panic rise in my chest as I feared the worst. I knew deep down inside, Percy was one of those people, regardless if he was Thalost or not. He was still Percy Jackson at heart. And Percy Jackson was a person who had no regard to his own personal health. I took out the drachma I'd been saving and looked at the fountain to my left. It was right next to Poseidon's throne, in honor of Percy.

"Oh, Iris... Show me Percy Jackson... or Thalost. Whatever."

The mist formed in front of us and I saw him. Cloak on, hat on, sword unsheathed, determined face, waiting in suspense for one of the most powerful beings in the universe to come and potentially crush him. I watched as a portal opened up in the sky. A vortex full of black and purple, as well as red. It looked like a hole of death, which Order just fell out of, stretching her legs and arms.

"Thalost," she smirked, "I was about to think you were too cowardly to show up. That you were one of those stupid people who ignored their dreams."

Order, too, had a weapon unsheathed, waiting to meet flesh.

"Order," Percy shot back, chuckling, "I see you're finally out of your chains. Millions of years of rust piling up on your skin must've caused your skills much damage," Percy mock pouted, "You'll have to tell me all about it... how it feels to lose."

"Oof," I heard Luke snicker.

How was he snickering at a time like this?! When his friend was in danger?! Order's eyes narrowed and I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. Sally Jackson-Blofis.

"Sally," I whispered.

"Annabeth," Sally said, staring at the screen. "I... I can't believe he's out there on his own."

I put my hand on top of hers.

"Me, neither."

But as quick as our thoughts kicked in, the quicker Percy and Orders weapons were out and clanging. Both groaned and grunted in effort, sparks flying at the metal crashing. Order blasted a ball of energy at Percy, who rolled out of the way, blasting his own ball of energy. Order tried to slice him in half and Percy simply flew up, tackling Order head on. Percy did a summersault as Order threw a grenade at him, missing him by an inch.

"Fun ways to play, Order," Percy smiled, "But you're gonna have to do a lot better than that."

Order smirked.

"That was just the warmup, Jackson. You're not even at the appetizers yet! Now comes the playtime."

As if the fighting couldn't get worse, it did. Both beings battled, blades meeting blades. Their blades pressed against each other, Percy's eyes glaring into Order's milky white ones.

"What do you want from Earth, Order?" he growled, pushing Order back, "What has this planet done to you?"

Nothing," Order cackled, "I just see... Chaos loves this planet. And apparently... so do you."

Percy growled in rage, metal clanging against her blade.

"I hate this planet," he hissed, delivering a hard punch to her face with his free hand.

Bad mistake. Order almost sliced him directly in half if he hadn't rolled out of the way as her blade slammed onto the road, cutting the hard black stone in half. Percy then proceeded to stab forward, twirling around as Order tried to stab back. Percy did a cartwheel before his blade turned into a chain and he stabbed it into a random taxi, sending it flying at Order, who gladly blasted the car apart.

"Done playing yet?" Order smirked, "Recess is almost over and school's about to start."

Percy's nose crinkled up.

"No... It's August."

"And you'll never live to see your birthday, Thalost!"
