chapter twenty four -

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

AS FAR as I could remember- I was attending a funeral, My Mother's funeral for an exact. I didn't know what the warmth was like for a mother to hug me, it's too depressing to think about it. Sounds of cries inside of the room with everyone wearing black, that's all I could remember. I didn't know how to act during that day. The next few years prior to my sister's death were just normal, although I don't recall any single thing from it other than Katsuo and Hideo leaving Nagoya to pursue their education in Tokyo. During those years, I felt being alone.

Kaori noticed about it- she would do anything to make me feel like I'm still alive but in the end her efforts came into a waste. Kaori [last name] died due to a group of teenagers kicking and punching her repeatedly while she shielded me from the pain she had received.

That moment was an endless nightmare for me.

"[name], Eito," A weight placed upon my shoulders. I stared at the house infront of me as Katsuo caress both of mine and Eito's shoulders. "This will be your new home. We'll be living here in Tokyo."

The house was big enough to fit my siblings, probably Katsuo got the house from our Father. Despite being the absent Father he is, he still does gives me and my siblings allowance but he does not care about what happens to his child. My Father was a prodigy, he expected a lot from me and my siblings to be at the top as always.

Sunlight hits my skin with the soft breeze that lets my hair flow in a direction. I don't know what to feel.

Eito turns his head at the eldest, who was squatting in between both youngest siblings to match their heights, "Are we gonna leave Kaori and Mom back in Nagoya?"

"Of course not," Katsuo smiles at our innocence. We were young back then. "Let's meet them yearly, yeah?"

I was eight at that time when we moved out from Nagoya. At first I thought we would just visit the house Father provided for Katsuo and Hideo but I was wrong. I didn't expect that we would stay and live here. Leaving Kaori and Mom back home feels weird, I won't get to talk to them anymore.

Talk about my worries, the things that I did, boring memories I made- that will eventually be forgotten. I can't share it with them because I'm all alone.

The next day Katsuo came home with a friend of his. His friend was very much lively and genuine with his expressions. I guess Katsuo was very charmed by his charisma which led him to be friends with him.

"So the both of you are Katsuo's younger siblings," The raven head smiles. I hid behind Katsuo, gripping tightly onto his shirt, hiding from his friend. I was awkward and shy whenever meeting new people, I never liked socializing with them.

On the other hand, Eito stood beside Katsuo. He kept a straight face whilst greeted by a smile from the unknown man.

My Brother noticed how awkward the atmosphere was and so he laughed, scratching his neck nervously, "Sorry, Shinichiro. They're not used to meeting new people. It might take awhile to get to know them."

"Don't worry about it," Shinichiro shrugs it off. "I have a younger sibling as well. I know how it feels."

"But..." Katsuo drops his hand.
