• Chapter twenty one •

4 days later.

"Mei, you okay? Ever since you took that day off you've seemed... A little off?" Ae-ri asked me. I slowly shook my head. "I'm fine, just tired." I told her with a weak smile. I could tell she didn't believe but just nodded.

Who was I kidding? I was terrible at hiding my feelings. It's been four days since jungkook had asked me to be his girl friend, and the last time I had seen him. He didn't come to school nor contact me in anyway. It was as if I didn't exits to him, and everytime I asked one of the boys they would either dodge the question or change the subject.

I opened my locker and sulked. I know I wasn't being dramatic. Something felt off and it wasn't me.

"Mei? You've been staring into your locker for about fifty seconds. It's either you tell me what's going on or I'm going to find out my-"

"I had sex with jungkook and he asked me to be his girlfriend, I said yes and that was the day I didn't come to school. He hasn't come into school for about four days and I feel like he ignoring me. I'm sorry for not telling you the tru-"

"YOU WHAT!?" she exclaimed.

I took a deep breath and leaned against my locker. "Please don't judge me." I said with a small pout.

"Girl, I can't believe I was talking to non virgin Mei for the past four days!" She said with wide eyes.

"Oh and ignoring you!? Don't worry I'll just-"

"Wait." I said when I saw her crack her knuckles. "Act like you don't know anything. The least I want is people thinking I'm a slut for sleeping with him." I whispered.

"But you're not. I can see the feelings you have for him." She said with a small smile. "I hope it's the same for him." I mumbled.

My brows furrowed. It was as if all of them were ignoring me. More like avoiding. The last time I spoke to one of them was when I had asked about jungkook, and that was yesterday.

"They ignoring you too, huh?" Ae-ri asked as she opened her sandwich. I nodded and leaned back in my chair. "Are you gonna eat?" She asked me. I looked down at my sushi and shook my head.

My eyes suddenly flickered to their table. I paused when I locked eyes with Taehyung. It was weird. It was like they would take turns in not coming to school. When Taeh and jimin weren't in, the rest were, and now that Taeh was in, hoseok and yoongi weren't. But it didn't matter because jungkook didn't come in at all.

I quickly looked away and pretended to look at something else. "Ae-ri, I'm gonna get to class early, okay?" I told her as I grabbed my bag. She looked up from her phone and nodded. "Call me after a school then"

I nodded and walked past tables. I had no idea why I said that to her because I hated my last period.

I reached the main hallway when I heard someone call my name. I turned around and saw Taehyung walking up to me.

"Where are you going?" He asked looking down at me. My brows furrowed. "Why?" I questioned. Why did he suddenly care? I watched as he closed his eyes and let out a sigh. "Just tell me where you're going." He said, opening his eyes.

"I'm going to my-"

"Mei."

I look over and saw jungkook walking past the main doors. My eyes widened slightly. So, he wants to show up after four days?  I look up at Taeh before walking away from both of them. I heard jungkook call out my name again but I ignored him.

Just as I was about to walk into my class he grabbed my arm and turned me around. I looked up at him with furrowed brows. "Let go." I said, trying to pull my arm out of his grip.
