• Chapter twenty •

He began whispering sweet things into my ear. My eyes lids slowly became heavy. I felt him place a kiss on my forehead before sitting up. I opened my eyes and got up on my elbows. "What's wrong?" I asked him softly.

I watched as he ran his hand through his hair.

My heart started racing. Was this the part where he tells me to leave?! Did he realise I wasn't good enough? Was this a mistake!

"Be my girlfriend." He said turning his head towards me. My eyes widened and I froze. Now my heart was about to jump out of my fucking chest.

I opened my mouth to respond but nothing came out. "Mei, I want you to be mine and only mine." He said as he grabbed the bedsheets beside me. I looked down at his hand then back up at him.

"Have you ever had one?" I asked him. He suddenly pulled the sheets causing me to jerk forward. "It's doesn't matter." He said looking down at my lips.

"Answer me while I'm giving you a choice." He said in a low tone. I bit the inside of my cheek and slowly nodded.

"Good-"

"But you can't tell anyone." I said cutting him off. "Not yet." I continued. "Fine." He mumbled. A small smile appeared on my lips.

My smile suddenly dropped. "But you only get one chance." I said making him clench his jaw. "If you slip up I'll never talk to you ever again." I told him.

"No lies?" He asked.

I aggressively nodded.

"Only promises?"

I nodded.

"No cheating." I said, locking eye contact with him.

"No cheating" he repeated in a soft tone.

Deep down I was scared but I needed to trust him.

• Jungkook's PoV •

I looked down at mei sleeping on my lap. I wondered why she didn't want to tell anyone. Fuck, I wanted to tell everyone she was mine.

I turned my head when my phone began ringing on my side desk. I reached over and grabbed it.

UNKNOWN NUMBER

"And this is?"  I asked in a bored tone.

"Don't recognise your own father's number?" 

I clenched the phone in my hand.

"Before you lose your temper and cut the call, I want to speak to you, jungkook."

"Don't fucking say my name." I said through gritted teeth.

"Tsk. Don't want your girlfriend knowing about us, right?"

I felt anger build up in me.

"Girlfriend?" I repeated in a low tone.

"Hm. Dont play dumb. She might hear you, since she's in your lap."

My eyes widened.

"How the fuck-"

"I have my men, jungkook. Never forget who I am."
