Observer pov.

I took another gulp of my glas of water as I stared out of the window. The weather seems to get worse. Even I could feel how the ship kips slightly from left to right. I turned away from the window and walked up to my coffee table. On it lays the notebook from the detective.

Discontented I remember how I obtained it. That bitch walked to me after all the other guests were leaving from the dining room. She spoke with this stupid fake smile, "Quite an action here on board, isn't it? Well I'm sure that our dear Ms. Detective will solve it."

I didn't say a word. Secretly I hoped that my silence would scare her away, but I was wrong. She soon sat on an empty seat opposite of me and continued to talk,"No comment on that? Well I understand that you don't like to talk about it. You didn't want to risk that your dear boss get mad at you for accidentally spilling secrets."

Unbelievable I glared at her. How did she knew it? What I saw was again her wide ugly smile, but her eyes didn't smile. No they were cold, fixated on me like a fox on a rabbit. The next thing I heard was her chuckle followed by her words," I have to admit you've changed a lot. Different color, hair and let me guess that tattoo you either got rid of it or covered it up."

"What do you want?" I asked for, speaking for the first time and I heard again a chuckle, "A deal. You see I never really enjoyed to die. So I thought I might offer you something for letting me live."

I raised my brow suspicious to what she might say next. Not saying a word she put a small notebook on the table. On the book's leather case was an eagle engraved. My eyes went back to the woman.

She could read my questioning look and explained as she started to turn the first couple of pages, "This is the notebook from the detective. Inside are written many information about many different cases about theft, murder and other small stuff. Including contact info about victims, suspects and most importantly witnesses. I'm sure your boss is very interested to get those information."

I gave a brief look over the pages. A couple of names I knew appeared. Names that surely wouldn't hurt to be gone. She sat there still waiting for my answer.

"What if I decline that offer. I could take it from your corpse. No one would stop me."

With a slight head tilt she continued to smile at me, "True you could do that, but not only would I expose your identity to the detective,  I also couldn't give you updates to how far she already know."

"And you know that?" I asked her wary.

"Most likely yes. The detective is a smart person, but she has zero experience. I won't be surprised if she doesn't know yet about USA's illegal weapon export, or that poor India got indebted with your boss. It won't be hard to get her talking about the murder case."

"And for this you only want me to let you live. Not caring about the other passengers on the ship." I conclude and she nodded with a bright smile.

My eyes went back to the notebook laying on the table. Only idiots would deny this offer, but on the other hand it means she will stay alive. My boss wanted her to die because she had too much information against the Red Sickle. For this she was dangerous to us.

"So is it a deal?" She asked curiously. It's gonna be a huge risk, but the notebook might protect me from punishment.

"It's a deal" I said and shook her hand.

A thunder tore me back in to reality. I was still standing there, staring at the small book. After a while I noticed how my hand was shaking. Carefully I rubbed my hands to calm my nerves down. Letting her live will definitely make my boss mad.
