4. The cafeteria ~

After reaching university, Joshua hadn't had time to go meet Jeonghan because his class had already started. So he thought to meet him at lunch. He goes to the engineer faculty cafeteria. He never comes there because of the hatred he had towards them. But last night has proved him wrong.

There Jeonghan was sitting with his gang. He has a lot of friends that calling it a gang won't be wrong. Yujin and some other girls were also sitting with them. She spots him from afar, "Heyyy Joshie... Over here." She shouts and every other person turns to look who she is calling. Joshua smiles and runs to them. Jeonghan's friends recognise him and greet him cheerfully. But Jeonghan doesn't say a thing to him and not even bother to look at him. Still feeling embarrassed to meet Joshua's eyes.

"Hi, Shua. How come you're here today?" asks Seungkwan

"I came to say thank you to you guys. I had so much fun last night," says Joshua giving a wide smile.

"Really? We're so glad," says Mingyu.

"Come sit with us. You can have your lunch here," says Dokyeom

"Oh... But I didn't bring my lunch," says Joshua

"Here, you can share with mine," Yujin says giving him her lunch.

"Yeah, you can take mine too," says Hoshi

All the other girls and boys start to offer him their lunches. Some bought from canteen whether some were homemade. Meanwhile, Jeonghan stays fixed at his place like a statue.

"We can always share, you know," says Jun

"Thank you so much, guys." Joshua smiles widely and sits beside Seungkwan. He realizes that he was sitting in front of Jeonghan who was looking everywhere but him. Joshua wanted to say thank you to him personally for the night stay at his house. But he didn't have the chance yet.

"Hi, Jeonghan," Joshua greets him.

Jeonghan glances at him, "H-Hi." He notices that Joshua was wearing the clothes he gave him this morning, the blue oversized t-shirt and jeans.

It fits him perfectly. How can he look so good even in the most simple clothes? Jeonghan thinks.

By half of lunchtime, Yujin was gone with her friends. Everyone was so eager to talk to Joshua, about his friends, hobbies, and other things, treating him just like a newbie. They liked him. But Jeonghan was silent all along. He was just playing with the food on his plate, trying his hard not to look at Joshua. Looking at him always reminds him of the kiss and how Joshua is unaware of that.

"It's so nice here. I often eat alone in our cafeteria," Joshua says when the interval was about to end. "Um, Can I come here again... to have lunch with you guys?" He asks with a tint of hope in his voice.

"No, you can't," Jeonghan snaps instantly grabbing everyone's attention to himself. Joshua's smile fades away, getting a negative response from Jeonghan.

Seeing him sad, Seungkwan says, "Why not?"

"Yeah, do you have any problem with him?" asks Scoups.

"Why did you say that?" Chan lets out

They all were getting so furious at him. Of course, they don't know what happened, they won't understand. But seeing Joshua every day was too much for him. "I- I mean... the cafeteria is quite far from his faculty and um-" He says trying to make an excuse.
