"Um so," She speaks up again taking their attention, "Sam wants to take us to the Disneyland park today. Do you wanna go?" She asks Joy.

Joy widens her eyes with full enthusiasm first but then she drops her face abruptly.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't want to leave daddy."

"I'll be here when you come back princess," Joe says with a genuine smile.

"No daddy I want to go with you and mommy," She pouts making it clear that she doesn't want Sam to join them.

"You can go out with daddy tomorrow."

"No mommy, no daddy, no Joy," She says with teary eyes and Taylor sighs.

"It's okay Joy, your dad can come with us today," Sam smirks entering the room.

"But Sam you said-"

"It's okay babe we'll get some free time for us in this way," He grins and Joe gives him a hard look. Taylor gulps down noticing the tension in the room.

"Okay then," She says pushing the strands behind her ear, "Let's go Joy we need to shower first," Joy stands up happily and goes with her mom to take the shower, leaving Sam and Joe alone in the room.

"It's good that Taylor got a free nanny for her daughter," Sam snorts taking a seat on the couch.

"I'm her dad," Joe says with a stern voice.

"Never saw such a stupid person like you," Sam snorts.

"I could say the same about you."

"How are you even sure that it's your daughter. She left you three years ago and the kid is two years old. What if she fucked someone else in the meantime."

"DON'T YOU DARE TO TALK ABOUT HER LIKE THAT," Joe raises his voice.

"Ahh, did I hit that nerve? I can tell you still love her."

"Yes I do. I still love her. I love her and our daughter with my everything and you can't do shit about it."

"Sadly she doesn't love you anymore."

"Be sad about your ownself because-" Joe almost blurts out about their intercourse but then composes himself.

"Because?"

"Because you can never love her the way I do," He snaps.

"Bet?"

"You really wanna compete with me?" Joe snorts, "That'd be an easy win for me."

"Don't think so high of yourself. I've been with her for three years."

"And I've been with her for my whole life."

"Still she trusts me more than you."

"I've never seen someone as overconfident or I can say delusional, as you."

"JOE-" Taylor's scream breaks their conversation and Joe gets up from the couch immediately to see why's she calling him.

"What happened?" He worries entering the bathroom, "Are you okay?"

"THERE'S A FREAKING SPIDER IN HERE," She screams out loud. Joe watches their daughter hiding behind Taylor with equally mortified face. He tries hard to control his laugh, or else she'd kill him for sure.

"Okay okay I got this," He says and gets out of the bathroom.

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" She panics.

"DADDY DON'T LEAVE US," Joy starts crying.

"I'm here wait," Joe chuckles and enters the bathroom with a jar. He professionally catches the spider and locks it inside the jar.

"See? It can't do anything to my babies now," He mumbles holding it up.

Taylor feels butterflies in her stomach realizing how he said 'babies' and not 'baby'. She gets shy and embarrassed about the whole situation. For the first time, Joe notices how she's wearing nothing but a towel. Before his eyes start wandering around in the wrong places, he gulps down and takes Joy's hands, "Let's get you out of here."

"Taylor what's wrong?" Sam's sudden approach makes Taylor uncomfortable. She tries to hide behind Joe's back because she's not wearing proper clothes.

"Um there was a spider," She mumbles.

"You were showering."

"Yeah."

"And you called him instead of me," He frowns at her.

Taylor gets flabbergasted by his words. She doesn't know what to answer him this time.
