Two weeks later, Joe comes to visit Taylor and Joy again. This time he comes being fully prepared with everything. He can't wait to meet his daughter and...Taylor. Only he knows how hard it was to stay these two weeks at London. He was beaming with happiness and at the same time his heart was aching to see his daughter, to hold her in his arms and kiss her soft cheeks. It was hard, It's still hard to keep this a secret from his family and friends. Martha was so shocked when he told her to stop the investigation. It was dramatic. But he really hopes Taylor will finally agree to let their families have a taste of this bliss.

He steps inside the lift with the flower bouquet and a gift box in his hands. When the lift takes him to the 13th floor he fixes his hair and gets out. He feels nervous and obnoxiously happy at the same time.

His heart drops when he finds Taylor mingling with Sam in front of her doorstep. Sam kisses her cheeks and she smiles shyly at him. Joe makes a fist of his hands but tries to stay calm. He himself decided to let her have this happiness. So he has no rights to feel jealous right now. But it hurts. It hurts to the point where he feels the pain physically. However he tries to put on a smile and approaches them happily.

"Hi Taylor," He says in a friendly way but the color of her face fades away. Seems like she's not happy to see him here.

"Erm Joe? Hi. We were just- No. Wow that's a surprise," She smiles nervously and looks at the bouquet in his hands.

"This is for Joy. Where is she?" He speaks up clearing the confusion.

"She went to the park with Ashley. They'll be coming home soon," She replies. So that means she was alone with Sam? No Joe stop. You have lost the rights, he speaks to himself.

"So you're THE Joe Alwyn," Sam smirks looking at him. Joe turns his head around and smiles.

"Yeah I'm Joe and you are Sam if I'm not mistaking?" He tries to say casually as if he doesn't despise this guy with his whole chest.

"Yeah I'm Taylor's boyfriend," Sam says and Joe struggles hard to not punch at his face.

"Wow. That's a good news. I'm happy for you two," He implies with a low tone and Taylor looks down feeling nervous.

"You guys, come inside. Let's talk there," She says.

"Actually I was done with what I needed, so I was going home," Sam smirks looking at Taylor, "But I'd love to have a conversation with you," He pats Joe's arms and heads inside Taylor's apartment again.

"Would you like to have coffee or tea?" Taylor asks them as they make themselves comfortable on her couch.

"Tea," Sam says.

"Coffee," Joe replies.

"Okay," Taylor chuckles and goes to the kitchen.

A silence arrives between Joe and Sam until Sam decides to break it.

"Why are you here?" He asks Joe with a stern voice.

"To visits my daughter," Joe frowns, "But wait, why do I need to answer you?"

"They don't need you," Sam snorts.

"Who are you to decide that? As far as I remember, you are...no one," Joe snorts back.

"I'm Taylor's boyfriend," Sam implies with a confident voice.

"Oh yeah. Boyfriends do come and go but the father of her child remains the same," Joe replies with equal confidence.

"Listen man, I have worked too hard to gain Taylor's love and trust. She has finally given me a chance after all of these years. So if you try to come between us or try to compete, I'll ruin you," Sam's nostrils flare with anger.
