The students of Alfea made their way into the assembly room, talking amongst themselves as they found their seats. Fallon, Sorin, and Stella sat in the very front row with two of Queen Luna's bodyguards on both ends of the benches. Fallon looked to the left to find Yasmine sitting with Terra and the rest of the first years from Stella's dorm. All except Bloom, who was nowhere in sight. Nadia was also nowhere to be seen.
Fallon nudged Sorin with her elbow. "Hey, where's Renova?" Sorin shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't know, she must have ditched." Stella let out a huff.
"Lucky her. I would trade anything to skip this dreadful assembly." Fallon could just tell how anxious her best friend was just by the look on her face.
"Same." The older fairy stretches her arms out and leans back in her seat. Fallon had forgotten that there was no back to stop her from leaning too far, so she almost fell back into a student behind her. Luckily she was able to grab onto the bodyguard beside her.
Unfortunately for him, he wasn't expecting her to grab onto him, so he ended falling back and landing hard on the granite floor.
Fallon's mother who was standing on the far right side of the stage shook her head and did her best not to laugh at her clumsy, dumbass of a daughter.
Fits of laughter erupted from both Sorin and Stella, as they watched their friend help the bodyguard up.
His face was red with anger as he composed himself he fixed his suit jacket and sat back down.
"God, you've always been a pain in my ass Fallon... Literally." He mumbled to himself, causing Sorin and Stella to laugh harder.
Just then the three friends heard the sound of heels clicking on the floor. When they looked up Queen Luna steps out onto the 'stage' and adjusts the lighting with her magic.
"Nothing is ever good enough for her." In seconds Stella's joyful face falls to that of an anxious one. Sorin links her hand with his's to try and help calm her nerves. She gives him a gracious smile, tightening her grip on his hand.
"Can't believe she's Stella's mum." Aisha's voice could be heard on Fallon's right.
"I know, right? Massively powerful fairy, zero ego, boss goals. I bet it drives Stella crazy." Terra teases, not even trying to lower their voice to avoid being heard. Stella tried her best not to look over at them.
