He just stares at us silently while walking back and forth in front of us and me and emme stays silent while holding our breaths and squeezing each other hands tightly as ever.
"There's no reason to fear me I haven't done anything harmful" he says
"I would beg to differ you appear out of nowhere and you look like nice doesn't exist in your vocabulary" I say
"Serena are you crazy talking to him like that" emme whispers
The man goes from scowling to busting out laughing in our faces and we just stare at him like he's crazy
"So we are just going to go have a nice day sir" I say awkwardly
"NO! I don't think so I have questions" he says sitting down across from us looking very seriously
"That we could answer for you sir I think you're mistaken we are nobodies and know nothing we couldn't offer you anything" emme says pleading
"I don't believe that what's your names and who were you walking with and don't lie I will know and that's just making it worse on you" he says
I take a deep breath and roll my eyes
"My name is Serena Evans and this is Emme Evans" I say
"And the girl we walked with is our sister Natasha but may I ask who are you and why are you questioning us" emme ask in a very low tone
"Mhmm and you don't know who I am you two keep surprising me my name is Krew Holland if you've heard about the ball my father is throwing that's my family and you both are sisters" he ask
"Technically step sisters but to us we're sisters and yes everyone talking about that stupid ball talk of the town apparently just like other towns until people like your famlly pass through" I say
"Well it was nice seeing you both I guess I'll see you at the Ball should be intriguing for everyone to witness" he says
"I doubt it you'll see everyone else just not us we go unnoticed our parents make us swear on it but we do hope you enjoy yourself" emme says politely
"Goodbye" I say glaring at him
"Emme why did you have to tell him that you should've said we aren't attending what if looks for us you want to get us killed" I say
"Me you were the one glaring at him and basically telling him off in your own words but like we know girls like us don't matter and if he likes Natasha then good for her she doesn't mind either male...." Emme says
"True I just hope she stays safe because jezebel won't give a crap if they beat her prize poosessions as long as she gets power so imagine if they choose Natasha" I say
"That's one of my fears" emme says
We walk to class and try to put this awkward situation that happened behind us and just go on with our normal day when we're done with our 2 classes we head out so we can find Natasha so we can just head home well after we get lunch because I'm starving and jezebel is only going to give me and emme soup soo no thanks I want real food especially after a day like today. I'm walking out looking at the floor because I keep thinking I forgot something when I come to a complete stop because emme just quits walking out of nowhere
"Emme what's wrong now" I say
"Serena the guys they are right there both of them this time and they are talking to all our sisters do you think this is their ploy to pluck them away" she says
"I don't know emme but we aren't walking down there your mom will literally kill us for interrupting and your sisters will definitely go blabbering like toddlers" I say to her
