Khalil POV

"Ok Ms. Vita, we do fruit and juice at breakfast, fruit or vegetable with milk at lunch, and vegetable with milk or water at dinner. We gave y'all a whole gallon of whole milk, but if they run through that, just let me know and I'll send some money for groceries and they go to bed around 8:30...Uhh what else..." Avaa paused to think of what else she wanted to tell my parents, "OH! Khalil filled the gas tank up all the way in the Range for y'all..." she continued.

"Go on nah, we got this! We have raised 6 children ya know" my Ma said shooing Avaa away, trying to tell her it was ok.

"Yeah, I know. I'm just nervous. We've never been away from them this long" she said.

"You have nothing to worry about, sweetie" my Ma spoke softly.

"Hey, she's doing better than when they went with her parents for the week, that was a mess. But, come on babe, they're fine. Look at 'em" I gestured toward the kids who were on the floor playing with my dad and I could see her relax a little bit.

"I know, they're fine and safe and happy" she said mostly to herself, "ok...one last kiss goodbye" she said before getting down to their level.

"It's not y'all, it's Avaa. Ever since the car accident just before they were born, she's always concerned about me and the kids, more so the kids, being in safe places if they're not with us for extended periods of time. Not that we don't know y'all are more than safe, it's just neither of us are here. That usually calms her nerves." I explained to my mom while Avaa kissed all over the triplets' faces.

"Oh don't worry, I get it. I was the same way for a long time- that's why y'all didn't have your first sleepover until you were 10" she finished and I laughed remembering how much of a helicopter mom she was for a while.

Thank God she got over that I thought as my phone buzzed in my hand. I looked down to see that our Uber was outside. "Rd baby, the Uber is outside, we gotta go." We had decided to just leave my Range with my parents for the two weeks we'd be gone because my parents drove sedans and all three of the car seats wouldn't have fit in their backseat. Plus it was easier to simply leave the car than to move the car seats and cheaper for us, so that was we didn't have to pay to park it in an airport lot.

"Ok...Mama and Daddy will be back, you three be good for Pop-pop and Nana, you hear?" Avaa spoke sternly and they all nodded their heads that they understood.

"Alright minis, give Daddy hugs and kisses" I said, kneeling down and they bombarded me with kisses and hugs, "we love you" I added before getting up and grabbing our bags.

"Thank you Ma" I said giving her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Of course baby, y'all have fun now..." she embraced Avaa for a hug, "but not too much fun" she said giving us a look, but little did she know, we already had too much fun. I could tell that comment caught Avaa off guard because her eyes grew big for a second before she recovered and laughed it off.

"Rd, see ya Pops!" I called and he lifted his hand to wave goodbye, barely taking his attention off the kids. That man loves being a grandpa and since mine are the first grandkids, he can't get enough of them.

When we got outside the Uber driver was waiting in the car for us and got out when he saw that we had big suitcases. The driver helped us load our luggage into his trunk and then we headed to the airport. The drive wasn't long and we arrived to the airport in under an hour. And as usual, the airport was pretty much chaos and traffic and our driver had a bit of a hard time finding the general aviation terminal because none of us had ever been back here; we usually flew commercial. It took us an additional 30 minutes to find the correct terminal and go through security while they loaded our bags onto the plane. Thankfully, the security process wasn't that long and our bags didn't need to be checked, so after security, we hopped right on the plane.
