Khalil POV

"Knock knock," someone announced coming into the room, "babies are back" Bri sang, rolling the basinet with Kylei into the room followed by Lay, Kina, and Jay with the boys.

"Ohh bring me my babies" Avaa said, pushing the table of food to the side. They rolled each basinet side by side next to Avaa's bed.

"They are all healthy considering their preemie status and just out of the low birthweight range, which is really good- Jr was the chunkiest one at 5lbs 15 oz., Kingsley weighed 5lbs 10oz., and Kylei is 5lbs 9oz. And the fluid in Kingsley's lungs was minor and they got it all out, so he's completely fine" Bri told us and then they left to give us a minute alone with them. I picked up my Kylei girl first, while Avaa grabbed both boys. I heard her cooing at them, but all I could do was stare in awe.

She is the most perfect babygirl I've ever laid eyes on. I can't believe Avaa did this.

I was starting to tear up staring at her and I blinked them away. "Avaa, we really did that. Look at her, she looks just like you!" I said leaning Kylei down to show Avaa.

"Baby, she has your whole face and so does Kingsley. The only one that looks a little more like me is Jr. and that's hardly, they all have your features" she responded and I looked back and forth between all of them to see what the hell she was talking about. They all look like her.

"I don't see it, they are you all the way" I shook my head at her, "oh let's get some pictures out to the family"

"Oh right" she said and sat them back in their correct basinets. I did not want to mix the boys up and the nurses made it easy by wrapping a different colored bands around each of their ankles and putting the corresponding color on their basinet- Jr.'s is green, Kingsley's is blue, and Kylei's is pink. We took a ton of pictures to send to the group chats and I got a few that were Instagram appropriate. Throughout Avaa's pregnancy, we had both decided against posting about it on social media and now that the babies are here, I want our extended family and friends to know the news, but I still don't want to show their faces.

"Hey babe, I'm gonna post this one to Instagram, ok?" I said showing a picture of their little feet in the basinet.

"Send that one to me so I can post too" she said and I airdropped it to her, then texted my family group chat.

To WHITFIELDS!: Please welcome to the world Khalil Syre Jr., Kingsley Saint, and Kylei Selah Whitfield. They were born at 7:53 am, 7:59am, and 8:08am, weighing 5lbs 15oz., 5lbs 10oz, and 5lbs 9oz. (all times and birthweights are in the name order) I made sure to add the last part for clarification and attached a few pictures.

I sent a similar message to Yiannis and Gigi, then made my way over to Instagram. I scrolled until I landed on the picture of their tiny feet and started typing a caption. The first thing that came to mind was the opening lyrics to Jay-Z's 'Glory'.

"The most amazing feeling I feel, words can't describe the feeling, for real. Baby, I paint the sky blue. My greatest creation was you."

On March 12th at 7:53am, my first child came into this world and I became a dad- I never knew my heart could ever feel so full. At 7:59, I got my next blessing and I could swear my heart grew as big as the Grinch's. At 8:08, my final miracle arrived and my heart felt like it would explode. My children are works of art and thank you @theavaamarie for painting me such a beautiful picture I concluded being sure to tag Avaa in the picture too.

I posted it and a bunch of notifications poured in almost immediately- a lot were texts from my family group chat and people commenting on my post in surprise, but one from Avaa caught my eye. I clicked on it and she had posted a picture of me and her just before she began pushing when I was singing to her, followed by the picture of their feet. Her caption read, "When I prayed to God for a blessing, I never expected it to come back threefold. You three are my definition of perfect and I couldn't imagine creating perfection with anyone other than @kw.syre3. Thank you to my little trio for choosing me to be your mama, I love you long time my sweet babies. And thank you, my love, for going half on three babies with me."
