Is it what i think it is

The next morning we both woke up. I held her hand and she looked at me. Her body was more yellow and she was really weak. Sepsis was spreading fast through her body. I started tearing up. She started coughing. I stood up and gave her back. She spit into it. There was blood.

"Derek I want you to know-" she said and threw up again

"I love you" she said groggily

She laid back and I grabbed some tissues. I wiped her mouth. I tried so hard not to cry.

"Meredith you aren't going anywhere okay. It's simple, they will find something" I said kissing her forehead

"It's spreading fast" she whispered

"I know" I whispered

Bailey walked in

"Grey" she said loudly

She walked over to Meredith and put my drips into her iv. I fixed the wrap on my arm from my surgery.

"You-" she said tearing up

"Dr. Bailey do you need a minute" I said sternly

"No" she said putting her hand on my chest

"I want you to know that we haven't found anything yet. Everyone in the hospital is donating blood right now" she said

"Fight this thing Grey. Just for a little longer" she said

She left the room

"I don't think I can. I'm tired" Mer said

"Meredith we have our whole lives together. We're getting married" i smiled

"It's too much. My body hurts" she said coughing

How did this get so bad, this quick.

"Go home and take a nap. I'll be here" she said holding my hand

She smiled a little

"Mer I don't want to" I said

"Derek I don't want you to see what's about to happen to me" she coughed

"I want to be with you. I've been telling you. I don't care" I said

"Please leave" she said

"Meredith" I said

"Go" she said

"Fine" I said

I leaned over and kissed her lips. I rubbed her cheek with my thumb and smiled at her. I started tearing up looking at her. I walked out of the room. I left the hospital and went to my trailer. I took a shower. I couldn't eat. I brushed my teeth and laid on my bed for a second. I opened my eyes and it was dark. I fell asleep. I started freaking out. I quickly put my clothes on. I grabbed my phone. Everyone called and texted me. I couldn't look. I got into my car and drove to the hospital. I ran in and went up to Mer's room. She was gone.

"Derek" Bailey said

"What. What-" I said not being able to speak

"She. She's okay. Her sister came in and gave her part of her liver" she said

"Who" I asked

"Molly, her half sister" she said

Molly. Mer has never told me that she has a half sister. Well this is relationships, we learn new things everyday

"Thank you. Is Meredith out of surgery yet" I asked

"Not yet, but we're moving her to the icu. Room 860" she said
