I'm watching the people as they come and go inside the cafeteria in this hospital. Hinihintay ko kasi yung shake na inorder ko so I just decided to sit here.
Napatingin sa akin yung nasa cashier and she gestured me to come kaya lumapit na ko sa kaniya. She already knows me kaya it's not a hassle.
"Hindi ka nagsasawa diyan?" she asked and I laughed while getting some tissues and wrapping it around the cup.
"Strawberry is life po." I joked and she smiled while shaking her head. "Sige na." and I waved at her before I turned my back.
Naglakad ako papunta sa elevator kasi nasa 2nd to 3rd floor ang mga private rooms. I started walking but I stopped when a kid approached me.
He's crying at mukhang hindi niya ako nakita kaya bumangga siya sa akin. Lumuhod agad ako at inalalayan siyang tumayo.
"Hey....I'm sorry." I softly muttered at pinagpagan yung tuhod niya. He looked up to me while wiping his years. Buti na lang may sobra pa akong malinis na tissue kaya ginamit ko yun para mapunasan luha niya tyaka sipon niya.
"Sinong kasama mo? Are you lost?" I asked him and he nodded habang nakaturo sa hallway na papunta sa mga private rooms.
"I'll walk with you, okay?" and he nodded. I offered my hand to him at nag-aalangan siya nung una pero kinuha pa rin naman niya ito.
"What's your name?" I asked and he looked at me, tilting his head. "I'm Nia, and I'm not a bad person." and I smiled kaya napangiti na din siya.
"Axel..po." he shyly answered kaya napatango ako. Nakadaan na kami sa mga rooms at biglang tumigil siya.
"Bakit? Ito na ba yung room?" and he scratched his head. Biglang bumukas yung pinto na kung saan nakatapat kami kaya napatingin ako.
"Tito!" Axel called and jumped to the guy who opened the door. Binuhat naman siya nito and the guy looked at me with a creased forehead.
"Who are you?" and I opened my mouth but there's no words came out. Ang daling sabihin na tinulungan ko yung bata, but my anxiety is stopping me.
"She helped me find this room." at nanlaki yung mata nung lalaki na parang hindi niya alam na nakalabas yung pamangkin niya.
"Uh...I need to go." and I waved at the kid before I walked fastly to go to my room.
Pumasok na agad ako sa private room ko at tinanggal ko muna face mask ko bago huminga ng malalim nang ilang beses dahil sa hingal. I placed my shake on the bedside table at tinanggal ko gloves ko to put some alcohol on my hands. Ang hirap nito. Nakakainis.
I opened my laptop after and I selected one of my documentaries in my list on Netflix.
Inabot na ko ng gabi na ganon lang ang ginagawa well, add my treatments. I felt sleepy even though it's just 7 pm. Saktong tumawag sa akin friend ko and she's asking me to go down dahil saglit lang naman daw siya.
My family's busy and pumunta naman na sila kaninang umaga so it's fine. I waited for the elevator to open at pumasok na agad ako. I stood up at the back corner at biglang may pumasok na familiar guy? Napatingin din siya sa akin and he smiled.
