y/n and kobe kept talking about their daddy issues until the waiter came back and kobe whispered something in his ear then the waiter walked off while y/n looked at him confused

Y: what did you just say to him
Kobe: i didn't say nothing
Y: you realize i'm sitting right here i saw you whisper in his ear
Kobe: yea but i didn't say anything
Y: so what was the point in doing that
Kobe: doing what
Y: whi- never mind

kobe laughed while y/n just looked at him then they went back to talking and after a few minutes the waiter came back laying a plate that said "happy anniversary" in front of her with two wine glasses of wine a heart on the table and a box then he walked off and she looked at kobe smiling

Y: what is this
Kobe: i don't know open to find out
Y: um ok

y/n opened the box and when she saw what it was kobe called the waiter over and he paid for their food then he grabbed her hand pulling her outside then they got in the car and without a word they drove to a secluded area that had a clear lake with a waterfall near it and the stars and moon lighting the water once they got out they walked to it and kobe stood in front of y/n

Y: what is this
Kobe: a future promise
Y: baby this is a wedding band
Kobe: i know exactly what it is
Y: so why am i wearing it
Kobe: because one day we're gonna be standing at an alter and i'm going to be standing in front of you just like i am now the only difference is by the time we leave that spot you'll have my last name now it's not like that this time but i promise next time it will
Y: i can't wait for that day and all but still the ring
Kobe: it's the exact one i want you to wear on our wedding day and i'm giving it to you now so you'll know that i'm serious when i say we're getting married
Y: how much was this
Kobe: huh
Y: you heard me kobe
Kobe: seventeen thousand eight hundred sixty dollars
Y: stop mumbling what did you say

Y: the fuck
Kobe: now before you get mad

Y: yea and i even think it's too much

Kobe: i had it to give so i gave it at least i didn't waste it on something stupid and you better not say me planning for our future is stupid

Y: fine but this isn't over
Kobe: i know
Y: but i do love it very much and i'm happy that you care about me so much makes me feel wanted and i love you more than you'll ever know but seve-
Kobe: nope stop right there that's good

kobe rolled his eyes then cut y/n off by kissing her which made her smile and she kissed him back then once he pulled apart he looked at her smiling

Kobe: hush
Y: ok fine
Kobe: now i don't know about you but i'm going swimming
Y: ehhh i might chill on land for now
Kobe: of course you will scary cat
Y: who's scared
Kobe: you
Y: oh nah

y/n got undressed then she pushed kobe and dived into the water and he smiled getting undressed and diving in right after her once they were back above surface they started playing around and having swimming contests and kobe kept picking y/n up spinning her around or throwing her so when he threw her she swam under the water and she grabbed kobes foot pulling him into the water and when he went under he opened his eyes looking at her seeing she was laughing then once she stopped he kissed her out of nowhere and she kissed him back after a little he swam them back up to the surface still kissing her then after a while they got out the water getting dressed again and y/n flipped her hair over draining the water out of it while kobe sat on the ground leaning back and just looking at her

Y: i know i'm cute stop staring at me
Kobe: cute is a very strong understatement
Y: i'm not sure but i think you like me

kobe playfully rolled his eyes making y/n laugh then she sat next to him talking about random things and looking at the stars until they left and went to sonic and ordered milkshakes while sitting in the car with their feet on the dashboard talking and making jokes

Y: no that's a severe violation
Kobe: ok how do you think i'll look if i cut my hair off
Y: like all of it right
Kobe: yea
Y: i think you'd look cute
Kobe: dang only cute
Y: no i mean like i think you'll look amazing but then again you always will to me
Kobe: i'll cut it all maybe like in two or so years
Y: what makes you wanna cut it
Kobe: i don't know i just need a change
Y: ok well yea i'd think it'll look great
