The First Girl | Newt

𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙱𝚎𝚐𝚒𝚗𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐

I opened my eyes to see nothing but darkness. I sat up and put my legs up to my chest. I started thinking "where the hell am I?" Remembering nothing about my life not even my name, I just sat there and waited for anyone to help me

~30 MINUTES LATER~

I gave up hope of anyone finding me. The moving contraction I was in quickly stopped. I grabbed onto the nearest thing, it was a wooden box.

I said "hello?"

No response but then I heard a loud noise. I just ignored it, I figured it was just in my head. Then I heard people talking

The person said "hurry up and open it!"

Someone else said "okay don't rush me"

I realized it was boys, then I saw a flash of light, my eyes started hurting I quickly blocked the light out of my view with my hand. Then a boy came down next to me. After my vision cleared up I put my hand down. I realized there was a 5'8 boy with dirty blond hair next to me

I heard someone say "what's down there?"

The blond boy said "it's a girl.."

The blond boy looked at me and smiled. I smiled back at him. Then he got up and put his hand out

The blond boy said "come on"

I hesitated but soon enough I grabbed his hand and he helped me get out of where ever I was in. I looked down and saw a metal elevator that had a brown box in it. All the boys looked at me. I looked at the ground embarrassed

The blond boy said "will u shanks stop looking at her"

All the boys started walking away

The blond boy said "I'm Newt by the way, do u remember your name yet?"

I shook my head

Newt said "okay well are you hungry?"

I nodded. Then Newt grabbed my hand and we walked to the kitchen. I noticed that Newt had a limp but ignored it because it isn't my business.

Newt said "this is the Kitchen"

Then Newt grabbed a sandwich and gave it to me then gave me a cup with water in it. I took a bite of the sandwich and realized I was starving. It took me 5 seconds to eat the sandwich then I drank the water. Newt looked at me surprised.

Newt said "you must've been really hungry. Um..."

Newt looked at me and laughed a little bit

I said "what? Is there something on my face?"

Newt said "yea"

Newt grabbed a napkin and wiped off  butter from my face. I felt my cheeks turn pink. Newt smiled at me when he saw me blushing. Then a tall dark skinned boy came over

The dark skinned boy said "hey Newt, hey Greenie. Newt you'll be showing the newbie around tomorrow. It's getting late"

I looked at Newt then at the other boy

I said "where will I sleep?"

Both the boys looked at each other. Then looked at me

Newt said "you can sleep in my hammock"

I looked at Newt shocked by what he just said then realized "where is he gonna sleep?"

I said "where are you gonna sleep then?"

Newt said "I'll sleep on the ground next to you"

The tall boy said "well then let's go"

I followed them to the homestead

The tall boy said "I'm Alby...do u remember your name yet?"

I shook my head in disappointment

Alby said "don't worry none of us remember our name at first. It'll come back to you in a couple days..it's the only thing they let us remember."

I looked at Alby confused when he said 'it's the only thing they let us remember.'

I said "what do you mean?"

Newt said "it's nothing..."

I said "okay, good night"

I laid down in Newt's hammock and quickly fell asleep.
