The first week of April has come. Our grades were released yesterday. And... I was included in the With Honors' list. Ako at si Russell. Sina Diane at Melody naman, may mga special awards.

And of course, Nova, who's the pride of our classroom, ang nag-iisang nakasama sa With High Honors. And as his bestfriend, sobrang proud na proud ako.

Kulang na nga lang, e, tumalon ako sa kanya noong nalaman kong he's the top of the class out of more than three hundred students. Who wouldn't be?

"Tara na, tapos na ang practice. Hindi kayo pupunta ng canteen?" Diane asked.

Tapos na ang pagpapractice namin ng kanta para sa moving up.

Malungkot na ngumiti si Melody. "May pupuntahan ako, Yan. Sorry."

"Ako na. Sasamahan kita," sambit naman ni Russell.

Mabilis na naglakad si Diane na para bang iniiwasan si Rus. I was wondering if he already confessed to her. Hindi pa siguro dahil hindi naman iiwas si Diane kung talagang nakapag-usap sila ni Russell.

"I'll be going to the Music room. Dito ka lang ba o-"

"Sasama ako," putol ko kay Nova.

He was wearing a a black pants and a branded white shirt. Sobrang linis niyang tingnan sa suot niya. Over his shirt was a dogtag. He's even wearing the bracelet I gave him during Valentine's day.

Tumayo ako sa kinauupuan saka ready nang umalis. Natuop ako sa kinatatayuan nang tinitigan ako ni Nova.

"B-bakit?"

He sighed and said, "Don't move."

I was taken a back when he slowly bent down.

"B-bakit nga?"

Pilit ko siyang sumilip habang siya'y nakayuko. And I saw him... tying my shoe lace, the white shoes he gave me.

"It's done. Next time, always check your shoe lace, 'kay? Paano kapag madapa ka?" he said while standing up.

I smiled genuinely at him. "Sorry. Itatali ko na 'yan ng mahigpit sa susunod."

He jumbled my hair and gave me a thin smile.

"Tara na," he said in a low voice.

I nodded, and we walked together.

Music Room. That's what written at the door we're about to enter.

"Ano pala'ng gagawin mo dito?" I asked as he opened the door.

"I'm going to get Sir Salvador's music sheets."

Tumango tango ako sa pumasok na sa music room. Bumungad sa akin ang napakaraming instruments. May bass, guitar, piano, drum at iba pang instruments na hindi familiar sa akin.

Nova went to the nearest cabinet and slowly flip the music sheets. While he's busy doing his thing, ako nama'y tumungo sa piano.

Pumindot ako ng isang nota kaya't napabaling si Nova.

"S-sorry," I said apologetically. He just smiled and went to me. "Marunong ka magpiyano, 'di ba?"

"Yeah, pero it's been a long time since I last played. Hindi ko alam kung marunong pa ako," he chuckled.

"Can you play for me?"

He raised his brow in a funny manner.

"I'll... try." He sat at the chair in front of the piano. "I really don't know if I'll be able to do it right, so don't expect too much."
