Cassandras POV

I'll just say that even though it was technically a bad thing that my baby was suspended but I still am able to spend some more time with her even if I still have school.

My phone started ringing while I was studying and I just huffed... until I saw it was Rosetta

"Hi baby" I say answering the FaceTime

"Hey" she said drearily

"Today was supposed to be your shift wasn't it" I ask knowing my girlfriend well

"Yeah. And it's not even fair." She pouted cutely

"Babes just cuz you can't work doesn't mean you can't go there" I point out

"Mhmm" she whined upset.

"Baby. How about I take you out. Especially since you don't have anymore school work and haven't since Wednesday. Also I could use some help studying." I say as an embarrassed blush covers my face

"Sure. Though I don't know how much help I can actually be but ok" she said happily

"Let me finish studying for my last class and I'll be over after ok" I asked

"Yeah but where are we going" she asked curiously

"It's a surprise. Be ready within an hour please" she nodded and we both said our goodbyes with me ending the call.

I sigh and collect everything that I'm studying from.

When I go to get up I don't notice the piece of paper on the floor and end up slipping

"Cass" I hear Nix yell from down stairs

"Yeah" I yell in response

I hear an audible sigh and footsteps coming up the staircase

"Cass are you ok I heard a loud thud" Nix says entering my room.

"Yup. I'm Good." I sigh and he helped me up and I flopped right back on my bed

"What's up Cass. What's going on"

"I want to take Rose out somewhere nice since she's not feeling the best about not working and I just wanted to make her feel better."

"Well the carnival is in town why not take her there"

"Anxiety remember" I point out

"Yeah. Right"

"Well why not. You said she doing better and is less anxious all the time" he pointed out

"True. If anything happens or she feels uncomfortable we could always just leave." I sigh and get up and hug Nix.

"Thanks" I sigh into his chest as he hugs me back.

"Of course. I love you sis" she said into my hair.

Once we separate I smile and shoe him out so I can get changed.

Rosettas POV

I sigh. Cass did text me telling me to dress casually so I did.

The buzzer went off down stairs

"Hello" I ask through the intercom. Usually people coming to see or visit us in the apartment have the clearance or walk up with us do they don't have to worry about having clearance.

"Hey baby it's me" Cass' voice rang through

"Ok. I'll finish getting ready. You can come up" I say clicking the button to give her access to the building.

After a few minutes there was a knock at the door so I go and open it.

"Hey baby" she greets me once she's in

She then sets her back pack down by the couch in the living room.

"So I have my study stuff in there and a few surprises as well" I instantly smile

"Cass we don't have to go anywhere to cheer me up. You know I don't need anything other than your company to make me happy" I point out what I thought was obvious

"I know baby. And I love that you're so innocent like that" I smile and my face heats up wile being cupped in her hands.

"Come on" she said.

She took me down to the car lot after I grabbed an over the shoulder purse.

Once in the car she blind folded me and it took almost ten minutes before she took it off. I only knew because I kept asking the time.

Once she took it off she revealed the bright lights and games ahead. She brought me to the carnival.

I've always wanted to go but have been too afraid.

"Oh thank you Cass" I say joyfully and give her a hug

"Anything for you baby" she says and gives me a quick peck on my lips.

We get out of the car and I grab her hand excitedly

"Come on"

"I'm coming baby" she said with a joyful smile on her face.
