"Just answer it. We're busted anyway" I sighed

"Sorry"

"Hey dad what's up" Ry answered

"Don't think for a second that your papa and I are that stupid."

"I don't"he sighed

"It seems like you do. Where are you and Rosetta"

"We're just driving around. She's sitting down."Ry answered agitatedly

"Dad you and papa keeping me cooped up in my room isn't healthy. When the doctors said to take it easy they meant like nothing stressful. This. This is stressful. Its like a punishment when I didn't even do anything wrong" I say exasperation

"Princess I know it's just" he started but I cut him off

"Dad I just can't sit in my room all day. Where do I go besides school, home, June's, and to hang out with Lilah. Let me have this freedom for just this once"

"Alright...fine. Just don't do anything very stressful and please be back within an hour"

"Thank you bye love you"

"Love you too. That also goes for you Ry."

"Bye dad love you too" with that Ry hung up the Bluetooth that was connected to his car.

It's been about two weeks now and everything has been running smoothly, but unfortunately Lilah is sick. I had brought her some home made soup yesterday and may have also had a bowel for my self after delivering her some.

I sit down at a spot in my usual place at June's and put my phone down just to pick it right back up seeing it was a call from my aunt Gemma

"Hi auntie what's up"

"Nothing baby girl. Well maybe something is going on and I need some help."

"Did you break the law or become a dirty cop and meet your soon to be mafia husband or or-" she cut me off with a laugh and I also hear June chuckling as well.

"No no nothing like that. Can you come over?"

"Everyone's using the cars right now. But-"

"I can drive you" Cassandra said as she came over to the bar

"Really"

"Sure. As long as it's in the city" She says with a smile

"It is."

"Then course . Be ready in ten okay" Cassandra asked while I nodded happily

"Ok so you are coming over then right. And I'll drive you back home okay" aunt Gemma said with hope in her voice.

"Yes. See you in a bit." With that I hung up.

"June can I get a few white chocolate macadamia nut cookies to go and my usual coffee please"

She nodded with a smile while I placed the money down on the counter and some in the tip jar.

June ended up giving me exactly what I payed for. Seven cookies. One cookie for Cassandra as a thank you and one for me while the rest were for aunt Gemma.

"Ready to go" Cassandra asked me

"Yup t-thanks a lot Cassandra" she smiled

"Let's go."

About twenty minutes later and halfway into the drive as well as two cookies and coffees later she glanced at me then back at the road

"You know I wasn't joking when I said I liked you right. So I wouldn't do anything to hurt you or scare you. I also wouldn't try to scare or hurt you even if I didn't like you" Cassandra blurted out

"I know Cassandra" I said quietly

"You can also call me Cass if you want" I nodded with a smile tugging at my lips.

"Ok" I whispered keeping my almost smile on my face.

"C-Cass" I ask when a thought suddenly popped up in my head

"What's up." She hummed

"We're friends right" I ask

"Course. So where are you going with this"

"Um. D-don't friends go to dances and parties together" she then got a glint in her eyes

"Are you asking me out Logan" she asked sarcastically

"No" I rush out

"I mean I know I'm irresistible and Sexy and-"I cut her off

"And a narcissist"

"Aww you really think I'm sexy" my blush heated my face up so much I thought my head was going to explode

"T-that's not what I meant just drop it Cass forget I asked anything" I demand softly.

For the last few minutes of the car ride she chuckles quietly to herself and when she stops and I go to get out she kissed my cheek.

I didn't know my face could get any warmer.
