Chapter 06

"Justin, I can't afford to buy a gift for you... Pwedeng ex mo nalang ang ibalot ko?"

Justin acted like he was about to vomit,  "Ibalot mo hanggang malagutan ng hininga sa loob."

I laughed hysterically, tears running down my face.

Justin realized his worth after a week of crying.  Nagtataka nga rin daw s'ya kung bakit n'ya pinatulan ang taong mukhang ingrown na iyon. We thought he was hypnotized.

It's not impossible. Hypnotization is real.

"Sixteen ka na bukas. Eut na," Humagalpak ako ng tawa sa sinabi ni Lady. Pia tried to suppress her giggling but ended up bursting into loud laughter.

Justin is the oldest among the four of us. Ako ang sumunod at ang bunso naman namin ay si Pia. Pero kung sino pa ang pinaka bata sa amin ay s'ya pa ang mas mature mag-isip.

Pia is the mother of the group. She always reminds us to be positive thinkers. Kapag may tampuhan na namamagitan sa amin ay s'ya parati ang gumagawa ng paraan para mapag-usapan ang problema.

"Wait! Don't move," Pia stopped me from moving. She made me face her and hold my cheeks.

"What? Ganda ba?" I grinned.

I was forced to closed my eyes when she brought her right hand to my eyes.

"Make a wish," She said smiling as she showed me the thing she got in my eyes. It's a fell eyelash!

"Ano ako bata?"

"Just wish!" Sinamaan n'ya ako ng tingin at pinalo ang braso ko.

I sighed in defeat. Wala namang mawawala sa akin kung hihiling nga ako.

"Sana maging mayaman ako." 

"What did you wish?" She was smiling ear to ear.

"Sana gumanda ka na."

I quickly run to avoid her from slapping me. Napipikon minsan si Pia kapag binibiro ko ang ganda n'ya. Naririnig ko na agad ang sasabihin n'ya sa akin.

"You're attacking my physical appearance, because?"

I laughed mentally as I imagined her positioning both of her hands on his waist while glaring at me.

"Jas." Napalingon ako sa kabilang direksiyon nang may narinig akong familiar na tinig.

"Uy, Vivienne." I greeted her with a smile planted on my lips.

She is with her boyfriend. Napadako ang mata ko sa kamay ni Wyatt na nakahawak sa bewang n'ya. I only removed my eyes when they both cleared their throat.

"I'll be having a beach party on my 16th birthday. You're invited! Pumunta ka."

"Sure," I didn't hesitate to say yes. There will be a lot of food for sure.

"Thanks. Love yah." She waved her hand before walking.

I saw Wyatt whispering at her and she giggled. They are so great! Sana maging ninang ako ng magiging anak nila.

"Sana all."

I am rooting for them. I hope they won't break each other's hearts.

I chose to wear a little descent outfit for Justin's birthday. I wore a blue flowy dress that ends above my knees. It shows a little of my skin because of the deep round neck at the back.

"Happy birthday!" I gracefully greeted Justin when I arrived at their house.

I was a bit late because I did some errands. I cooked and washed my family's clothes.
