It's been a week since you've been in Snezhnaya and staying with Diluc as an assistant. You felt useless being here but, you can't bring attention to myself or it'll be suspicious to others around yourself and Diluc.

Staring up at the night sky, you reach up your hand staring at it and let out a sigh. It's been awfully quiet without Paimon's bickering and Dainsleif. Your vision begins getting blurry just at the thought of him.

The night sky reminds you of him and how calming it is to look at it. It's like any star you look at it's as if he's watching over you, making sure you're alright.

"What you thinking about?" A voice wakes you up from your deep thoughts.

Turning around you see Diluc with his hair down, his hands in his pockets. He looked tired. You sat up and fiddled with the grass, "Just feeling a bit tired is all," you smiled at him.

Faking a smile to someone who is dear to you made you feel guilty inside. You don't want to make him worry about you when he has other things to do here for the fatui. It's frustrating to be here but you know if you get reckless you'll ruin Diluc's plan on escaping together.

"You've been quiet lately. I'm just worried that this whole thing is getting to you now," Diluc walked towards you sitting down on the grass. He gazed down at you and looked up at the sky.

You looked at him for a few moments and sighed putting your hands behind your head. Looking back at the sky you closed your eyes, "What's the progress on the plan?" You softly spoke.

"It's going well," hearing him hum he continues, "If this goes out smoothly we'll be back in a few days." He replies as he now turns to look at you again.

"Oh thank goodness, I'm already getting tired of staying here..." You groan and let out a sigh of relief.

He chuckles and pats your head smiling at you, "I don't blame you, this place is a drag."

Lately, it's been really nice hanging with Diluc like this whenever he was finished with work. Every time he had to leave for work, you felt cold without his presence near you.

A week ago

When Diluc spoke those words of staying with him, you thought you weren't hearing right.

"W-wait what do you mean by, staying with you..?" You asked the man in front of you. He gave you a look and he placed a hand to his chin.

"Do I have to elaborate?" Diluc sighed but let out a laugh, placing a hand ruffling your hair.

Looking up at him you frowned and felt your face heat up. You removed his hand from your head and pinched it, causing him to wince at your sudden actions.

"What I mean is that," He took a step towards you and leaned down close, "You'll be staying with me, in my room."

His words sent shivers down your spine and just by how close he was, "Stop being such a flirt.. am I really going to stay in your room while I'm here?" You couldn't help but asked, it was not that you wouldn't mind but it was with Diluc.

He breathed out and stepped back nodding. He placed a hand in his pocket while the other motioned you to follow him. You went and followed him to where he was leading you and to your surprise, he opens up a door and turned towards you.

"Welcome to your room." He said and walked inside.

You sighed and hung your head, following him into the room you perked up and your mouth dropped. The room was huge and it honestly looked like a fancy house. "This is where you've been staying at this whole time?!"

Diluc was taken aback by your loudness and nodded, "Yes.." He walked around you and closed the door.

As you walked around the new area, you looked at the vases that were lined up along the wall on top of a fireplace. This whole place made you feel small and while exploring the room, you could tell Diluc's gaze was on you.

Moving to room to room, you finally made it to the bedroom. One problem about the whole place was that there was only one bedroom that you've seen here this whole time. 'One bed too huh..' you breathed out.

"Do you not like it?" Diluc spoke and stood next to you.

You sighed and shook your head,"I do but.. there's only one bed?"

He let out an 'ah' to your answer and reached to the back of his neck, "About that. It was the only place available at the time when I got here." He explains and you could tell he was a bit nervous.

"I'm not complaining or anything at all! But this will be different.." Feeling a bit shy, you patted his arm repeatedly.

"Since you'll be staying here, I'll take the couch-" You grabbed his wrist and shook your head. He's gone out of his way to come and help you escape from here, you couldn't have him staying on a couch.

"No. That won't do, you'll take a side of the bed and I'll take the other," you paused, "It'll be better this way knowing you won't be cranky from not sleeping well.." You muttered.

Diluc looked at you with wide eyes and with a half smile, he sighed and sat down on the bed. He laid down-stuck a thumbs up in the air for you to see, understanding why he did so. It made you laugh quietly.

He's always been a hard worker and today proves it by how he immediately fell asleep once he laid down. You walked towards the bed kicking your shoes off to lay down next to him, your gaze on him and before you know it you drifted to sleep too.
