Grace's POV
I stood up and jumped on his back as he was going to charge at the woman.
"James stop it" he stood still but was still glowing red.
"Fuck off" he pointed at the woman as his anger died down.
The elders stared at him in shock.
"What did you do to him?" She asked me angrily.
"He is my mate" I said.
"You bewitched him" she gasped.
"I didn't and I would never do something like that" I answered.
"Then explain this" the man who was quiet all the while finally spoke.
"Look, I'm a girl my mother looks like you guys, she can give anything life while my father could make anything die. James should have been able to do that since his sixteenth birthday when his body started changing for his mate. I have no control over it except to calm him down" I said back to him.
"This matter has to be directly with the king" she spoke while James placed me on the hospital bed.
"I think we should allow them to continue the mating process because they were chosen by the moon goddess and haven't harmed anyone" the only man with sense spoke.
