Narrator: On the last episode of Wordgirl. Our Heroin had just realized a life changing truth. That she had actually fallen for Tobey Macalastar the 3rd. How will this work? What about the play? Why am I asking so many questions?! Let's find out on another Amazing episode of Wordgirl!
Becky: I was at the auditorium in a line behind the stage. I was so nervous and excited I couldn't stop bouncing a little. "What if they say no? What if I do something embarrassing? What if they do chose me and I do well practicing but I get stage fright on the day of the play!?" I thought I was saying to myself in my head till I looked around to see everyone looking at me wondering if I was ok. I quickly straighten myself up and everyone turned back to what they were doing. "Hey Becky!" I quickly turned around thinking it was Tobey only to see Violet. "Oh. Hi Violet! What are you doing here? The auditions for extras is tomorrow." I asked. "Oh I know. Actually they don't have any part for a tree. So I asked if I could help set up the play." She explained. "Oh really! What are you doing?" I asked. "I am the light switcher!" She replied proudly and pointed towards the light switch at the end of the stage. "I don't think that's a" "No it is totally is" Mr. Violin chimed in. Violet walked away to the stage as Mr. Violin whispered to me. "I didn't have a position for her and I didn't have the heart to turn her away." He explained. He then walked away as I heard another voice call out to me. "Becky!" I heard Tobey behind me say. "Tobey! Hey How are you?" I replied. "Oh just wonderful. How are you?" He asked. "Excited but mostly nervous." I explained. "Do you get stage fright?" He asked. "No. But I messed up last time they Auditioned for the play. I am worried to mess up again." I said. He gave me a sympathetic smile. "Don't worry dear. You'll be fine. Besides we've practiced for weeks now. And you are the perfect Juliet in my opinion." He said. I blushed when he said that but tried to hide it. "Thanks Tobey. I am sure they'll pick you for Romeo too." I said cheerfully. Just then someone walked into the door. Everyone turned around and most all of the girls immediately started blushing. not me.His name was Richard Harrison. He was pretty much the greatest looking guy in school. With soft bouncy hair, chocolate brown eyes, a pure white smile, and even had some abs. He played hockey during the winter and soccer in the summer. every girl wanted to date him. All except me and Violet. Violet just didn't understand attraction yet. But as for me. I didn't like him. cause he may look good. but he is actually pretty selfish. I mean the reason he isn't dating anyone dispute the amount of adornment girls give him is because he doesn't think there good enough. How do I know this you may ask? He once tried to "Charm me" Into liking him. It didn't work so he just tried to ignore my existence. He is just a selfish, vain, know it all. I rolled my eyes when he walked in the room and turned away from the door. "What's the matter?" Tobey asked me. I remembered he was there and turned to face him. "I'm alright I just didn't know he would be here." I explained saying "He" with bit of venom. He turned around and realized what I was talking about. He then turned to me with a little worry in his eyes. "Whats to matter with him? Did he harm you? or make fun of you or anything?" He asked while looking daggers and Richard. "What no no no. He didn't he's just annoying." I explained calming him down. "I see. Anyway. I wish you luck on being Juliet." Tobey said trying to change the subject. "Thx. Good luck on being Romeo." I replied. "Good luck indeed." Me and Tobey looked behind us only to see the man himself. "Hello Richard." I said "cheerfully". "You know you can just call me richie right Beck?" He asked. "I can but I won't" I replied. "Exactly what do you want?" Tobey asked annoyed already. "I just wanted to let you know that I couldn't care less what girl is Juliet so long as I am Romeo. which BTW I will be." Richard said. "Says who?" Tobey asked. "The Music teacher will say. I am the most charming guy in school. I was piratically made for this role. Especially compared to a nerd like you." He said. "I am not a nerd!" Tobey exclaimed. "Besides At least I am intelligent unlike you. You may be 'charming' but I still have the upper hand!" Tobey said proudly. "Oh wow so impressed! Also you are a nerd. Idk what your doing thinking you can compete with a charmer like me. But your clearly delusional if you think they'll ever pick a sad loser nerd like you." He said. I hated it when he said that. and I blurted out "For the Record that 'Nerd' Has more charm and character then you'll have!" I snapped. Richard was taken a back a bit but then straightened himself up. He then walked away with a smirk. I looked over at Tobey who had a look of shock, happiness, and shame on his face. I could tell those words had gotten to him a bit. Tobey was never one to admit it but I could tell he was a sensitive guy. I put my hand on his shoulder comfortingly and smiled sweetly. "Don't worry. You'll make it." I said confidently. He smiled back hugged me. I was shocked when he did that and he realized what he was doing and stopped. "Uh um anyway we should probably get lined up now so see you in a bit." He said trying to scurry off. But before he left I gave him a hug too. Just to get rid of the awkwardness. Also because I wanted to.'"See ya." I said and went to the line for the girls. I could see out of the corner of my eye Tobey blushing but then smiling and walking to his line. I felt a little blush too as I thought. Does Tobey like me too? Should I want that? Ugh. If only he wasn't a supervillain! *Time skip cause lol* "Up next, Becky Botsford!" Mr. Violin said. I felt my palms sweating as I went up to the stage. As I walked up the steps to the stage I saw Tobey on the other side giving me and thumbs up. I smiled and walked up to the front. "Hello Becky. Now all I want you to do is the best you can. No pressure. If you have trouble it's ok. This isn't the actual play. If you are Juliet then you will be able to work with me on your parts if you have any struggles. Now. I want you to read from the scene where Juliet is asking the Friar for help. Only your parts." Mr.Violin instructed. I gulped and turned to the page. I read it a little to refresh my memory. I looked over to Tobey again and he gave an encouraging smile. I smiled, took a deep breath, and let go of my script. Everyone else gasped a bit. No one had dared not use there script out of comfort. But I knew that If I wanted to win the role I had to step outside my comfort zone. "O Shut the door! And when thou had done so, come weep with me; past hope, past cure, past Help!" *Time skip* "Be not long to speak; I long to die, If what thou speak'st speak speak not of remedy." *Time skip* "Love give me strength! And strength shall help afford. Farewell, dear father." And I did a little dramatic wave. Everyone clapped and I could see Mr.Violin tearing up. I almost wanted to cry but I held it in. I looked to my right to see Tobey. His mouth was open wide but with a huge dumb smile on his face. He wasn't saying anything but his face said everything. He was clapping as if I just won an Oscar. I started blushing a bit and giggled to myself. He was such a dork. But in a good way. "Wow. Becky Botsford that was amazing! I think you are a perfect Juliet. But of course we have to give more people a chance but I have a feeling that we've found a star." Mr.Violin explained. "Thank you." I replied and walked off the stage. "Becky that was fantastic! You've got the part in the bag!" Violet said. "Thanks. Well I don't want to get my hopes up too high." I said. "I understand. But In my opinion no one could top that." She said. I smiled. I sat down with all the other girls on the seats. They were whispering. Mostly about who they wanted to play Romeo. "Hey Becky! Great job. Hey if you become Juliet who do you want to play Romeo?" A girl next to me asked. I started blushing again and I kinda knew my answer. But I was still mixed up about my feelings for Tobey. "Uh. Um. Idk I just want whoever it my be to be kind and sweet. And maybe a little bit dorky." The last part I said to myself. The girls chuckled a bit. "Well If I we're you. I'd hope for Richard. He's so cute." She replied. I rolled my eyes "I mean he's ok. To me at least. I don't think he is drop dead gorgeous or anything." I explained. The girls looked at me as if I had two heads but then decided to just ignore it. "Ok Tobey. Whenever your ready." I heard the music teacher say. I gasped a bit and turned to the stage. Tobey was silent for a bit and was holding tight to his script. I could see sweat on his face and his eyes were darting around the room. "Um. Uh." He looked at his script quickly and then turned back to the teacher. I signed him to look at me and I gave him a thumbs up as an attempt to comfort him. He smiled nervously but it didn't work well. "Father, what news? What is the prince's room? DOOM! Uh. What sorrow craves a-aque What? Acque?" "Acquaintance" I whispered kinda loud across the room. "Acquaintance!" Tobey said. I could see that stage fright was taking him over. I started getting worried for him. But idk what to do. Tobey looked at me and then he through his script down. He was trying now to be confident and walked closer to the edge of the stage. To close. "What less then Dooms-day in the prince's room?!" He began sounding as confident as he could. He forgot where he was and tried to walk closer. Only to fall off cause there was no ground.  I panicked and out of instinct quickly went to his side to make sure he was alright. "Oof!" I heard everyone say and they started laughing. "Tobey! Tobey are you alright!?" I asked. He opened one eye and then the other seeing it was me. "Could be better." He said. I grabbed his hand and helped him up. "Ok everyone quiet!" Mr.Violin said sturnly. Everyone quieted down. "Ok Tobey. Please go and get yourself a drink of a water and sit down." Mr.Violin instructed. "Wait! Can't I do it again!" Tobey asked frantically. "Sorry Tobey but we don't have time to. Now please go and rest." And the teacher went back to the piano in the front of the stage. I looked at Tobey who had an embarrassed look on his face. As well as a nervous look too. He sat next to me in the seats. I felt bad for him. I knew what stage fright felt like. I held Tobey's hand. "Hey. It's okay. You tried you best. And I've seen you acting earlier so I am sure Mr.Violin will give you a second chance some other time." I said to make him feel better. Tobey looked shock and blushed a bit. But he didn't pull back. In fact he actually held my hand back. He looked at me and smiled. "Thanks." He said quietly. *Time skip sorry for all the time skips* "Ok everyone! Come up to the stage so we can pick our leading couple!" Mr.Violin commanded. Everyone got out of the seats and walked up to the stage. I was crossing my fingers so hard I thought I would break them.
Tobey: I have a bad feeling. I know Becky said that I'd be fine. But fate is rarely on my side. Especially after that awful performance. Of course I had to have stage fright. I know the angel would get the part of Juliet. I just know it. She was perfect up there. And then the cute little wave she did at the end. Mr.Violin would be a fool for not. And me too. He should give me a chance to show my true talent. I refuse to not be The Romeo to Becky's Juliet! Especially not to that Richard fellow. I met him today and I already hate him. Then again I hate most everyone. "Ok kids. Now before I begin I just want to address the elephant in the room. I know you guys may have read the book and know about the kissing scenes." I perked up when I remembered that. "We aren't having that." Mr.Violin said. I was stunned for a bit. Most of the girls looked disappointed as some of the other guys looked relieved. I myself was saddened but tried not to show it. Becky didn't seem to be paying attention to that part. She had her eyes closed, her tongue was sticking out and she had her fingers crossed. It was so adorable. I wanted to squeal so bad. "Ok everyone. The girl who will be playing Juliet is... Becky Botsford!" Mr.Violin announced. Becky opened her eyes with excitement and surprise. I started clapping and everyone else followed. "Congratulations!" I said hoping she heard me. She turned her head towards me and I think her face was showing a little red. She walked over and shook Mr.Violin's hand. This is going well. "Now. The person who will be playing Romeo is ..." Mr.Violin began. I crossed my fingers behind my back and gave a proud smile. "Richard Harrison!" My jaw dropped when I heard that as Richard walked to Mr. Violin with pride and vain. My shock turned into irritation "Wait! Wait that is not fair! I didn't even get to do my audition!" I exclaimed not caring that people were staring. "I am sorry Tobey. In any other situation I would have given you a second change but the play isn't that far away. And we needed to choose our main leads today." The teacher explained to me. But I didn't care. "This is outrageous!" I shouted. "What's wrong Nerd? Jealous?" Richard chimed in. I gave him a death glare but didn't say anything. I then threw my script on the ground and stormed off. But not before I got one last glimpse at Becky. She had a worried/sorry look on her face. But she also looked disappointed in a way. My expression went from anger to sadness as I walked away. I hope I had not upset her with my behavior. Ugh that stupid Richard! Mr.Violin! This was my chance! My best chance to finally show my true feelings to my angel. But No! Apparently not! I felt a little tear fall on my face but quickly whipped it away. I looked back to the school. Darn that play! I just can't imagine my Becky/Wordgirl with another guy! I should have been chosen! I am Romeo practically! That's it! If "I can't enjoy the play! No one will!" I said to myself with a devious smile! I am a villain after all. I laughed evilly and went home to plan how I would ruin the play.
Becky: When Richard's name was said I knew this wouldn't be good. Tobey hates losing. Like a lot! So when he snapped at Mr. Violin I wasn't surprised. But this time there seemed to be much more to his outrage then just him wanting the glory. Like you know how your day seems to be going well. But then something really really upsetting happens that ruins it all. That's almost the vibe I got from it. But I can't be too sure. But ether way. For probably the first time, I was actually saddened by him not winning. I mean I knew it was likely but. Idk I guess I must have hoped he would be Romeo. I mean I know he is a really fitting role. But stage fright got to him. Tobey walked to the door but before he left he looked at me. He looked at me. Both apologetically and saddened. And then left. I felt my heart sag when he looked at me. He really wanted to be Romeo. I sighed and walked over to Mr.Violin for instructions. "Ok you guys. Keep the scripts you have. I need you to be here after school everyday. The late busses will bring you home, unless your parents pick you up or you prefer to walk. Make sure you practice at home to and stay positive." He said as  he handed us the schedule to show our parents. My mood changed as he gave my the schedule. I still couldn't believe I got the part. We packed our things and left to go home. Richard walked next to me. "Lucky you Becky. You get to spend every day with me after School." He said. I rolled my eyes " don't flatter yourself." I said blankly. He huffed and walked away. I was exited being Juliet. But I think I was looking forward to having Tobey be Romeo. I felt myself blush again thinking about it. But. I like it. I like him.
Narrator: Both Tobey and Becky went home. While one practiced really hard for her role in the play. The other planned day and night how he would destroy the performance. But the one thing that they both had in common. They were both thinking about one another while doing so. And finally the day of the Play Came! O, I am so exited. Let me get the Popcorn.
Becky: I felt my palms sweat like never before. I couldn't believe it! Violet was backstage with me. "Oh Violet what do I do! What if I forget a line! Or freeze on stage!" I asked frantically. "Calm down Becky. You'll be great. Besides you've practiced for a long time now. It will just just come naturally. Like a squirrel remembering to burry it's nut for winter." She said as she fixed my hair. I was wearing a red dress with a gold bow around the waist. With gold sparkles on it and a little tiara on my head. Silver and small with red Jewels on it. I calmed down as I smiled slightly. "Thanks Violet." I said as Mr.Violin came in the room. "Ok Becky. Get ready your on in minute." He said and stepped out. I took a deep breath as I turned and walked to the stage. I could feel my heart skip a beat when I saw the people. But I help my anxiety in. I saw my family in the crowd and gave a a smile of encouragement. This was the scene where Romeo and Juliet meet at the Capulet ball. Richard aka Romeo began. "If I profane with my unworthiest of hand this holy shrine, the gentle fine is thi" Just then we heard the loud stomping of Robotic Foot prints shaking the ground around it. I realized exactly what was happening. "Everyone run!" I shouted to the audience as one of Tobey's Robots began to lift the roof of the building. Everyone ran outside as I went behind stage and changed into my costume. I then flew to see what Tobey was up too. "You folks want to see a show do you? Well I'll show you a show you'll never forget!" Tobey shouted to the crowd on the top of what was left of the roof. The Robot had only lifted the roof for a scare. I flew up to the roof. "End of your play Tobey!" I shouted. "Ah Be- I mean Wordgirl! What a surprise! Lovely night isn't it!" He said "charmingly". But I almost felt a blush coming. "Why are you doing this!" I asked. Slightly upset. I really didn't want to battle him. "My dearest Wordgirl!" He said and then said in a whisper " I am saving you from having to preform with that ingredient Richard." He explained. "Is destroying the entire building really the best way to save a life?" I whispered back. "To be honest this is pretty much the only way I know how." He said while rubbing the back of his neck. It's then that reality set in. He came, wanting to "save" me. Granted I didn't exactly want to be saved from anything though I definitely wasn't looking forward to acting with Richard. "Uh Wordgirl you ok?" He asked and I snapped myself back. "I didn't need to be saved." I explained. "Of course you did!" He said sounding a little unsure. "Why else are you doing this?" I asked getting closer. Tobey then started blushing "Uh I just was bored too." He said not looking at me. "Tobey?" I asked knowing he wasn't telling the truth. "I didn't like the play." He said with his blush growing with each step I took getting closer "Tobey?" And closer "I wanted to see you?" And closer "Tobey?!" And closer. "Because I Love You ok!" Tobey said almost shouting. There was silence for a bit as I tried to process what he just said. "I love you" ran through my head like a broken record. I was stunned. I felt my heart pumping out of my chest as a blush grew on my face. My shock though turned into joy as a smile smile grew on my face as well. Tobey realized what he said and was now blushing like mad. He sighed "I really wanted to be Romeo because I-I wanted to impress you. Show you that I could be "Romantic and Charming" but it clearly didn't work." He said still blushing but sounded saddened a bit. "Tobey?" I asked sounding much more calmer and sweeter. "Yes?" He asked now also calm. "Did you mean what you said? Y-you love me?" I asked with hope in my voice. Tobey then gave me a sweet smiles back. "Every word." He replied. I grew an even bigger smile as I stopped floating and stood with him at eye level. "Do you? I mean! How" "Tobey." I said softly "Becky" he said softer as our faces got closer to one another till I couldn't take it anymore. "I-I" Boom! I planted my lips onto his. Tobey took a couple of seconds but he quickly kissed back. I could hear slight gasps from the people down below but I didn't care. It felt like I had been waiting for this forever. (Cause it has been forever. Sorry for taking so long guys.) The kiss lasted a good minute till we both finally broke it slowly. We were both blushing hard. But extremely happy. Tobey had this dumb smile on his face and I could hear little giggles breaking out of his mouth. I started giggling myself. Tobey then cupped his hand on my cheek. And we smiled at each other. Just then we heard cheers mixed with happy crying from down below. We looked down to see everyone clapping and cheering with joy. Mr. Violin then spoke up. "That has to be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Such a wonderful cast of emotions! Congratulations!" He said with tears in his eyes. We then looked at each other and laughed a bit and then started bowing as if this was a play. "Now! How exactly are we gonna watch the play?" Someone in the crowd said. They then looked up and me and Tobey. I gave him a look with a raised eye brow and a smirk since he did wreak the building. He looked and me with a sheepish smile and then got and idea. "That field looks like it could hold all of them don't you think?" He said with a sly smile. I looked over to where he was looking and looked back at him with a knowing smile. We had the same idea. *Time skip*
Tobey: I had to admit. Having the play outside was probably my smartest decision yet. Seeing Becky preform under the moon light was a wonder. Of course I had to make a lot of apologies to everyone. And also had to help getting things set up so my dear could preform. But it was absolutely worth it. The play was fantastic and everyone cheered when Becky finished her part. Also turns out Richard wasn't actually the best choice for Romeo. He didn't know how to act to save his life! It was honestly hilarious to me. Ah karma can be amusing. After the play Me and Becky took a quick walk before heading home. "Hey um. Becky. Since we, ya know, kissed and such. Do you want to go out sometime? We can go to the movies, or a dinner, or we could do something simple like a nice evening stroll or just hang out wherever." I asked while crossing my fingers behind my back. She thought for a moment. Then turned to me. "Yes I'd love to. But on 1 condition!" She said. Cupped my hands on her cheeks and brought her face closer to mine. "Anything!" I said exited. "You must give up villainy. I don't want to battle you anymore if we're going to be dating." She said and put her hand on my shoulder. "Of course! Be delighted!" I said. She got a shocked expression on her face. "Wait really? You'd give it up that fast?" She asked confused. "If we're being honest. I never really was a true villain to begin with. You see I only really battled you so that I'd get your attention." I explained. "Then how come you always were determined to take over the city or destroy it cause you wanted to?" Becky asked. "That was simply acting. If I won I wasn't really going to take over the city. I mean how weird is it that villains always want to ruin the city's they with to control? Wouldn't it be nicer to have it actually look like a city?" I asked. "Exactly! I never understood it!" Becky said with a smile. We both then laughed. Just then her watch started beeping. "Oh dear! I have to go! Told my parents I'd be back before 9." She explained. "Alright. I probably should leave too. My mother would get upset if I stayed out too long." I said. She waved goodbye to me and I wait until she left. "Eeeeeeee! Yes! Wooohoooo!" I began to celebrate. I couldn't believe it! We, we kissed! It finally happened! I thought I blew it earlier but Yes! I then walked home (he skipped. He's a dork) the happiest "evil" genius in the world.
