Broken

"Thanks," She says feeling a bit uncomfortable.

"How have you been? The last time I saw you, you were so fucked up," He tries to make a joke. He places his hands on the table near her hands. Taylor moves her hands away abruptly with an uncomfortable smile.

"I'm fine now," She replies looking away.

"You are meant to be fine now that I've decided to take you back," Adam replies with a grin and Taylor frowns.

"About that," She speaks out taking a deep breath, "I have made my decision Adam and it's a no to your proposal," She says directly looking into his eyes.

"Wait I think I didn't hear it properly. What'd you say?"

"It's a no."

"Taylor stop kidding you're making me nervous."

"I'm not kidding Adam. I didn't want to be rude by saying no to you on the phone. That's why I decided to meet you here and let you know about my decision."

"Taylor this is not done. I'm still in love with you," He leans in reaching for her hands with a nervous smile.

"But I don't love you anymore I'm sorry. I'm in love with someone else."

"I knew it. You never loved me anyway."

"Don't make me feel guilty for it. You're so wrong for saying this because I had questioned myself several times blaming it upon myself thinking you didn't get the love you deserved. But to be honest, I really loved you with my everything. And you are the one who ruined it. You ruined it with your hands. You made me feel insecure. You went on behind my back and cheated on me. And I was so stupid for making the decision to forgive you and take you back. I blamed it upon myself every time for every single thing you did. When in the true sense it was never my fault. You kept me in a hoax Adam. But I'm not blind anymore. I'm sorry we can't get back together," She snaps at him with cold voice, getting up from the seat. She wants to be at home with Joe as soon as possible.

"Taylor," Adam speaks up stopping her, "I'm sorry, Your words made me realize what a shitty person I've been. I'm so sorry for everything," He says desperately.

"It's okay I forgive you. But don't treat anyone else like this from now on."

"Can I ask you for something?"

"What?"

"At least have the dinner with me please. I don't want to lose my friendship with you"

"I don't think I'll be able to do that. Joe is waiting for me at home. I need to go."

"Isn't he with Karlie? No no leave that just one dinner Taylor please."

Taylor doesn't say anything to clear up Adam's confusion about Joe and Karlie's relationship. She thinks for a moment and decides to sit down to have the dinner with him for one last time. Adam orders beef steak for both of them along with drinks. Taylor eats the food silently. She just wants to finish this awkward dinner and be at home right now. Maybe bringing Joe along with her wasn't a bad idea. She should've done it. Taylor suddenly stands up abruptly feeling the coldness of the drinks on her clothes.

"Oh no I'm so sorry," Adam says standing up, "The glass fell down when I was trying to pass you the drink," He says while trying to help her but Taylor stops him immediately.

"I'll go to the washroom," She says with a frown before leaving him alone at the table. In the washroom, she turns on the water to wash the strains from her clothes. When she's done, she looks up at the mirror and fixes her attire. She decides to go out but gets taken aback as Adam shoves her against the wall.

"What the fuck are you doing?" She shouts at him with fume in her voice. Blood runs through her veins with angst as she feels his touch on her skin.

"I know you still love love me," He murmurs placing his hands on her mouth to shut her up, "You're just lying to me, aren't you?"

Taylor struggles to get out from his grip but he's stronger than her. She sighs in frustration when he runs his fingers on her neck, "Wait a minute, who gave you these marks baby? Are you sleeping with someone? Your husband? Hm? Is that why you're glowing so much? You could've just called me for fun. See?" He says lowering himself to force a kiss on her lips.

"Owww!!!" Adam groans feeling the pain on his sensitive area as Taylor kicks him on the spot. She shoves his body aside and runs away from his grip feeling devastated. Tears start streaming down from her eyes as she takes her bag from the table and tries to find the way to go outside. She feels disgusted from his touch. She feels disgusted because she trusted him. She trusted him when he said he was sorry. Everytime she takes wrong decisions. Every fucking time. She wipes up her tears noticing the paparazzi outside the restaurant. She shields her face with her sidebag and walks towards the car.

During the whole car ride Taylor cries like a baby. She feels so stupid for falling into his trap again. His manipulation has gotten worse by the time. He has mentally abused her during their whole relationship and it's getting clear to her now. He took the advantage of her anxieties, her flaws and she let him do that. She's so fucking stupid for this.

When Taylor reaches home she immediately runs towards Joe's room to tell him about everything. But he's not there. She checks on her room as well but Joe is not anywhere. She takes out her phone to call him but he doesn't pick up either. She runs her hands through her hair in frustration. She feels so broken without him. She is completely broken.

Joe has decided to come to his parents house today. His heart got stabbed an hour ago, when he got the text from Taylor telling him that she's going to stay the night with Adam. He really thought that Taylor would turn Adam down and come to him instead. But well he was wrong. He was wrong about everything. He was getting serious about their relationship and a small voice from his head would always tell him that she feels in the same way. But he was wrong. She didn't lie when she said it's just a physical attraction for her. It's his bad that she doesn't owe him anything. The thought of her spending the night with Adam makes his blood boil with anger. He hits his knuckles on the wheel groaning. Why did she do this to him? Is she having fun with Adam right now? Like they did earlier today? Is this how she plays with the guys? Why Taylor why?

An hour ago

As soon as Taylor goes to the washroom Adam rummages his hands inside her bag to take out the phone. She says she's in love with someone? He is well aware that she's talking about Joe. He has seen the way they look at each other from the paparazzi photos. But if he can't get the love of his life back to him, then she's not going to have hers either. If she can't be with him then he won't let her be with anyone else. He'll ruin everything for her. He then unlocks her phone easily as he knows her password. He smirks typing down the made up text from her phone to send it to Joe. After sending the text, he places the phone inside her bag again and makes his way towards the washroom. She was so stupid to believe that all of these have been just some accidents, he laughs at her stupidity.
