Cari POV:

We moved in about 3 months ago now, but we have only just managed to complete the house. I hadn't shown Shannon the studio yet, and today i was going to give her the big reveal.

We also really needed to progress with wedding planning, as we are stuck in between two minds with what to do, whether we do a low key, private event, or a bigger, more public one.

We have kind of put off doing any planning for the past few months, but we have agreed that it was time to really think about it.

...

"are you ready" i said, holding my hands over shannon's eyes as we waited outside the studio

"hurry up already, i'm getting old here" she replied

"okay, open them"

I held back whilst shannon walked around the room, running her finger along every instrument, every wall and item of furniture and just silently observed

"this is really really cool, cari, i'm impressed, whens the next album then" she said smirking

"already in the works. I'm glad you like it, im really proud of this space" i said going over to her and putting my arms around her waist

we just paused for a minute of silence until shannon asked me a question about one of my songs that i had released during the time where we were not together

"feel free to ignorant, or naive, or self-centred or vain, and i could be completely off here, but was your song 'still' about me?" she said turning around to face me

i grabbed her hand and we sat on the sofa "there are three songs in that album that were about you, and yes, 'still' is one of them"

"what? there are three, i didn't even realise 'still' was until it was on the radio the other day. which other ones?"

"have you even listened to my album? i would of thought you would instantly know"

"apparently i wasn't listening close enough" shannon said laughing

i stood up off the sofa to go over to the computer and play my album.

"i'll play a few, just listen to the lyrics and guess which ones" i said

I played a few and Shannon listened to them closely

"nope"

"nope"

"no, wait play that bit again... no nevermind"

"yes, this one, 'gift', is this one about me?"

i didnt say anything just smiled and played the next one

"yes, this one too, 'grow', don't know how i didn't notice that before"

For the next hour we just played around a bit in the studio, playing songs, singing songs, i taught Shannon how to play a few tunes on the piano and guitar.

It was days like this that i lived for. Just Shannon and I messing about together, with no cares in the world, it was a shame that it had to end because Shannon had a shoot.

...

Shannon POV:

"thank you so much, that was a great shoot, i'll email you the photos by the end of the day, and i'll edit a few to give you a taste" i said

I had just done a photoshoot at the most amazing venue, which made me think that Cari and i really should start to plan our wedding, at this point i just want to marry her, i dont care how.

as i was leaving i saw a brochure that said that this is actually a wedding venue, so i grabbed one to take home to cari.

When i got home cari was no where to be found. she would usually greet me at the door, but not today.

She wasn't far away, she was in the studio. I assume this is where i will find her 90% of the time from now on.

I opened the door and she didn't notice me because she was busy singing, but carter was there and he said hi. i just stood and listened for a while, i could listen to her for ever.

When she stopped singing she finally noticed me through the glass and her face lit up immediately.

"how long have you been stood there baby" she said hugging me

"only about 5 minutes"

"how was your shoot?" she asked

"very good thanks, the venue was amazing, and they do weddings, check it out" i said handing her the brochure

"so you guys still haven't done anything about your wedding? how long ago did you get engaged?" carter smirked whilst cari flipped through the pictured in the brochure

"this place is beautiful. let's do it" cari exclaimed

"woah slow down, we should probably get a wedding organiser or something, and we don't even have a date"

for the next hour, cari, carter and i kept discussing wedding ideas. i've never seen cari's eyes light up at so many different suggestions, although i'm not so sure that an ice statue of the two of us will be the best idea.

After carter left cari and I headed back up to the house, it was pretty late.

"can we dedicate tomorrow to wedding planning? cari asked kind of sheepishly as i was getting us water

"Why do you say it like that, but yes its a good idea in theory, but you have a studio session all day don't you?"

"because i just want to marry you so bad. i want to be able to call you my wife, but i feel like you have been putting it off. and oh yes, i do have a studio session, so maybe the next day?"

It kind of hurt me when she said that she felt like i had been putting it off, but i know she didn't mean it like that so i didn't allude to it

"Baby, i haven't been putting it off, we just never talk about it at the right time. how about i search for a weddings planner tomorrow while you are in teh studio, then the next day we get to some real planning?"

"i love you" she said, cuddling up to me on the sofa
