"Besides, you know my preferred method of punishment for your indiscretions is the dagger." The Original Hybrid reminded with a cheeky grin, watching as Rebekah smirked sarcastically before standing up from her chair.

"There is something fundamentally wrong with you." She spat with her faux smile, which seemed to be her favorite expression of the day, as she paced out of the room. "Okay, as much as I love you and believe that Elijah was in the wrong, that was a bit far." Maddie sighed and Nik shrugged, watching the Petrova girl groan as her phone buzzed in her pocket. "It's probably Scott or Mal. I should answer." She stated before answering and walking out, leaving Klaus and Isaac to sit by the table alone, Klaus staring somewhere in front of him with Isaac quietly eating his fruit.

"It's Maddie, what's up?" The Petrova girl answered as she walked up the stairs. "Maddie, it's Care. Look, I kind of need your help in Mystic Falls right now." The blonde cringed out slowly, knowing the answer was either going to be a reluctant agreement or a hard pass.

"Oh no. Okay, I'm busy in New Orleans but once I wrap things up here, I can make it over there." Maddie groaned, and the blonde sighed in relief at the acceptance. "How long do you think that will take?" Caroline questioned and Maddie paused, looking around at the empty house that held a fuck ton of problems at the moment.

"A day, maybe two?" Maddie guessed, biting her lip but the answer seemed to be good enough for the blonde vampire on the other end of the phone. "Okay, let me know when you're on your way." Care nodded and Maddie hummed.

"The pack is coming too." Maddie pointed out only to hear a long pause, causing her eyebrows to furrow as she checked the screen, making sure the blonde was still on the call. "Care?" She then questioned after confirming the call was still going.

"They're with you? In New Orleans?" Caroline questioned in worry and Maddie internally groaned as she realised she was going to have to be the bearer of bad news. Damn you, Scott McCall. She thought before returning to the conversation.

"Yeah, they're all stubborn and wouldn't take no for an answer." Maddie explained briefly, and the blonde bit her lip. "They're all safe though, right?" Care then asked and Maddie laughed. "Scott's fine, Care. You literally talked to him this morning." The Petrova girl pointed out, deciding not to tell her where Scott was in the present moment in time.

"Yeah, but he didn't say anything about New Orleans. Now I'm worried." Caroline sighed and Maddie shook her head with a small frown. "Don't be, I promise you he's fine. I'll call you later and let you know what's happening, okay?" Maddie comforted gently and the blonde hummed an agreement and a small goodbye before ending the call.

"Isaac!" Maddie then called from her room, hearing heavy footsteps jolting up the stairs. "What's up?" The blonde werewolf questioned as he walked into the room, a half-eaten apple in his hand.

"I need you to tail Beks, and be discreet please." Maddie requested, batting her eyes with an innocent smile in order to get her werewolf best-friend to agree. Isaac, however, wanted to know more about what he was getting himself into.

"Why?" He questioned sceptically and Maddie sighed. "Because something tells me she's about to make some bad decisions?" She offered with a desperate smile, but Isaac gave her a raised eyebrow in response.

"Scott and a stubborn Stiles, are already tailing Tyler and Allison and Malia are going down to keep an eye on Hayley and Elijah in case something gets
out of hand. I'm going to stay and keep an eye on Klaus, make sure he doesn't do anything irrational. I just need someone to keep an eye on Beks." Maddie explained and the blonde werewolf sighed.

"What about Lydia?" Isaac questioned in slight fear of his life and Maddie gave him a look."She's with Davina and in case you forgot, she won't heal if anything happened to her." Maddie reminded him with a scolding tone and the blonde werewolf frowned.
