"He's been mysteriously silent— avoiding me, some might say. I thought perhaps he may have whispered reasons into your ear. Along with all of those sweet nothings." Klaus mused causing Maddie to give him a look while Isaac raised an eyebrow.

"You have a thing against sensual whispering, huh?" The werewolf retorted, popping a grape into his mouth, earning a smirk from the female Mikaelson and a snort from the Petrova Hybrid.

"If I see him I'll be sure to ask if he's still sore at you." Rebekah reassured, staring at her brother with a nasty look. "Let me give a voice to that look in your eyes. My saintly noble brother lies writhing in agony in the bayou, victim of my bastard-brother's-bite, when just one or two drops of his blood would ease his pain." Klaus said and Maddie looked
to the blonde as she continued.

"Meanwhile my best friend and sister figure is responsible for such pain as she had the power to do something but didn't." The Petrova Hybrid added giving the female Mikaelson a knowing look. "On the contrary, you two, I am simply enjoying my breaky waiting for Elijah's healthy return." The blonde remarked with a sarcastic smile.

"Oh, come on Rebekah, you've been giving both of us the devil's eye all morning. Out with it!" Klaus snapped, causing Maddie to sigh as she slammed her book shut, placing her tea down while Isaac sat silently, watching the three of them while snacking on the excessively large fruit platter.

"Perhaps I'm concerned that if I voice my opinion about what you did to Elijah, I will end up on the wrong side of your toxic hybrid teeth and Maddie would simply watch because she is the only person who is still somehow devoted to you." Rebekah snapped back and Maddie raised an eyebrow as she slammed her book onto the table.

"I'm devoted to this entire fucked up family. Including you, Elijah, and Nik's baby. Three of us warned Elijah not to go down the path he did but he did it anyway. I can't protect you all from the consequences of your own actions all the fucking time, Rebekah." Maddie exclaimed but the blonde vampire simply smiled sarcastically.

"No, he does this every time! One of us "betrays his trust" and hurts his feelings and wind up paying for it!" Rebekah exclaimed, causing the Petrova Hybrid to rub her forehead as her frustration started to rise.

"I get it Rebekah, Nik has cut you all down a thousand times without reason and you've had enough. But the one time we're all telling you it was deserved, you won't hear us." The Petrova Hybrid pointed out in frustration before sighing and sitting up straight.

"Listen to us, to me. You know that I would have stopped Nik in a heartbeat if Elijah didn't deserve it. You know that. It's only a day or two of pain, we've all endured worse." Maddie pointed out and Rebekah shook her head.

"So if I were to hurt Nik's fragile feelings, you'd let me get bitten too?" The blonde girl retorted with a faux smile, causing the Petrova girl to narrow her eyes at the blonde girl, a glare strong enough to make the devil himself quack.

"You know what, Rebekah? With the road you're going down— as much as I love you— I'm just about fucking ready to bite you myself." Maddie retorted, causing Isaac's head to snap up, glancing between his best friend and the Mikaelson girl. Klaus sat beside him, eyes widened, clearly caught off guard by the threatening statement.

"Don't waste your toxins when you can just let Nik do it himself." Rebekah retorted, glancing to her older brother who seemed to recover quickly from the Petrova girl's comment at the mere mention of his name. "Poppycock! I would never bite you. Elijah made some very offensive accusations about my intentions towards my child and niece. He deserves a day or two of discomfort." Nik reinstated once more before a wicked grin spread on his lips.
