Promise to tell me when it fades
Promise to be honest and open
Instead of promising to stay
I know forever has an ending
Even if you meant it at the time
Every forever breaks somehow
No matter how hard you try
Just promise me that you'll say
Whenever you stop loving me
Just promise there won't be lies
No pretending, no hide and seek
Don't promise to love me forever
As no one ever makes that last
Just promise me you'll love me
And you'll tell me when we crash
