My invisible demon
Keeps haunting me
Never quite here
But always waiting
Watching me closely
As it suddenly attacks
Reaching from the dark
Catching me off guard
And as fast as he came
He leaves me again
But I won't be fooled
The demon never left
It's become a part of me
Attached to my soul
Present in every cell
Never meaning well
Even though it doesn't
Control my every move
He will always be there
Watching what I do

Breathing down my neck
While I keep wondering
When he will attack
