Me and my dad where sitting on this bench in heaven drinking our starbucks like we use to do every morning.

"So I told him I ain't getting in that damn car and that's why he up here with me looking crazy." He said.

He was telling me about the time my uncle was trying to get him to join the a gang and got shot the first day.

"See this I'm not about to play with you daddy."

"Well it's true hell with his stupid ass."

I fucking fell out.

"Ken what are you telling my daughter? My mom said.

"Cookie mind your business we was just minding ours now go mind yours." He said.

She popped him upside the head and I fell the hell out again I can't stand them.

"Damn cook you ain't going to keep hitting me like that women." He said.

"Well stop talking shit with your stupid ass now move so I can talk to my daughter." She said while tugging at his arm.

"Yeah whatever I'm going to talk to marvin since you wanna be mean." He said.

"Leave marvin gaye alone chil'e." She said.

That fact I'm in heaven watching my parents fight about marvin gaye is beyond my life.

"Yeah whatever bye babygirl." He said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Bye daddy love you."

"Love you too babygirl."

I watched as my dad walked away and my mom sat down.

"Whoooaa chil'e that man make me wanna drop kick him sometimes but now babygirl give mommy some love." She said.

I gave her the biggest hug ever and kiss on the cheek and pulled away.

"So what's tea babygirl?" She asked.

"Mama nothing that I can't handle."

"Um hum I heard about you and my son in law argument." She said.

Oh he a snitch.

"And he ain't no snitch he need someone to vent to even the he almost thought he was dead too but that's another story for another time." She said.

"I bet he did you and daddy just can't be scarying people like that."

"Well hopefully we scared some since into y'all. You guys was falling apart and you didn't even notice it we came down to help you guys stay together."

I nodded.

"How is he?"

"I'll let him tell you that babygirl but I got good news."  She said.

"Oh yeah what's that?"

"You about to be a aunty." She said excitedly.

" Shut your mouth mookie pregnant?"

"Yes girl with a boy." She said.

Oh I love my mom's tea time.

"I wonder how jay taking it."

"Oh he don't know yet neither does she." She said sipping her coffee.
