Sickness

A sickness in secret -

in reasonable disobedience.

The tongue tied so as not to speak

the shame of loss

(bit itself and bled to worst).

The eyes shut itself so as not to let

the trickling fall of sorrow

(melted itself and drowned to death).

The mind blank so as not to think

for reasons of tomorrow

(numbed itself and disordered).

And ordeal; in-hiding

revealing

itself in a maze of words.

A sickness, silently creeping

under the healing of a prose.

A sick heart

only seeking

that of which cannot be sought. #
