May 1471...

The next three days in the tower were rather peaceful but had an edge of anxiety to them. Marian would mostly take care of the royal children or sit and read with Meg (who had by now managed to grill the hell out of Marian about what had happened with Richard). But while it all seemed peaceful there was still the thought it everyone's minds that York could lose. It was a very small chance but unfortunately it still had to be considered as a possibility for:
"The wheel of fortune rises and it falls" as Jaquetta had told Marian one morning.

On the third evening since the York's departure, Elizabeth and Marian were tucking the Princesses into bed when a cannon like explosion was heard and the tower shook. Everyone immediately sprang to their feet.

"Lady mother!" Lizzie cried, bursting into the room behind Anthony and her grandmother.
"It is alright, we must all be very brave" said Jaquetta
"Are we being attacked?" Marian asked anxiously
"They are coming up the river themes for now." Anthony replied
"Who are?!"
"Lancastrian soldiers!" All three women in the room looked at each other before quickly grabbing the Prince and Princesses, hoisting them up into their arms.
"They must be trying to rescue my father...how many are there?"
"They have war ships, so keep back"

The group quickly made their way down to the base of the tower where they barred the windows, doors before Anthony departed and the women and children and all huddled together around one of the stone pillars, clutching their bed furs they had snatched from the bed chambers, around them. Eventually the attack slowed and the deafening noise ceased. Anthony appeared.

"How are you?" Elizabeth asked her brother.
"Tired, my ears are ringing but we have withstood all they have"
"For now"
"They have mored their boats, set up camp not far from here. We will come under siege at dawn"
"Do we have enough men to resist them?" Marian questioned
"The apprentice boys have been flocking in all night, they'll help to contain them" he returned
"So we just wait for our enemies to recover and then storm us?!" The Queen cried
"What do you suggest sister?"

Elizabeth stood up.
"Striking back! Stopping them from coming any closer to my family!" She hissed angrily
"We should attack them when they least expect it" Marian suggested, also standing. "Most men would prefer to die in their sleep would they not?" Anthony looked at her
"Spoken like a true Yorkist" he said coldly "we attack before dawn"
He quickly turned and left, fetching his armour

The next few hours the tower was filled with the noise of men preparing for battle. Ironclad figures rushed here and there, collecting weapons, wishing their fellow comrades luck in the coming clash.

Elizabeth went to watch from the battlements, Marian and Jacquetta closed behind. A few moment later, the Queen suddenly stiffened, becoming like a statue.

"Elizabeth!" Marian was about to reach for her but Jaquetta stopped her
"Marian, no! Don't touch her, she is having a seeing"

Marian had witnessed the Queen having a couple of seeings throughout the years she had know her but it still shook her to the core when one occurred.
"Elizabeth" Jacquetta said gently "what do you see"
"A-a battle" Elizabeth stuttered "men, blood...everywhere"
"The two houses have collided then?" Marian asked
