Reunion

  *Nzuri POV*

I woke up and looked around seein I was in a unfamiliar room.

It didn't look creepy at all instead just the opposite. It looked real .. homey.

I got up from the couch and started walking around, I was starting to get real sweaty and couldn't breathe from having flashbacks of the time Monroe had me.

Something about not knowing where you are and how you got there makes your skin crawl and your head hurt.

I started to hyperventilate falling down knocking over a table that had a vase on it.

"Helppp! " I managed to scream
"Somebody help me" My voice went out after that, I started to go in and out and was crying hysterically.

The door bursted open and a man who looked like Idris Alba came and sat me up, at this point I was beyond freaking out and was fighting him.

I couldn't let him hurt me, I couldn't let anyone else hurt me, not again.

I grabbed a leg off the table that I broke and hit him with it. He fell out and I took that opportunity to run.

I ran out the room door and I came onto a long hall. I didn't know which way to go so I just went right.

The faster I ran the more of a headache I got, As soon as I turned the corner I bumped into somebody and we both fell.

I was out of it and panicking when I felt hands around me.

I thought the person was trying to strangle me, but their arms wrapped around my body and they rocked me back and forth.

As weird as it sounds, It was almost like I was being comforted. Like I was safe and I felt warm inside. 

After a few moments I was breathing regularly and I was calm.

I heard feet coming rapidly towards us and saw the man holding his head , I instantly jumped but the person finally spoke.

"Nzuri. You're okay, you're safe, nothing is gonna hurt you. I got you."

Listening to the voice my eyes widened as I zoned out .

   *FlashBack 13 Years Ago*

6 Year old me was outside playing in the yard with my dolls.

I was a weird child so I didn't have much friends, I was enjoying my time imagining my dolls were having a Fun day at the beach when one of my barbies hat blew because of the wind.

I gasped before getting up to chase after it.

"No come back" I chased it to a few houses down and the wind finally stopped it from blowing.

I bended over to pick it up and saw a wet sticky substance drip down my hand.

I looked up to see a really big dog with sharp teeth and his mouth was all wet.

He barked at me and I started running dropping both my barbies and the hat.

At the house my mom was in the kitchen making dinner when she heard me screaming.

She ran to me concerned and bent down to inspect me to make sure I wasn't hurt anywhere.

I was trying to tell her what happened but my words were fumbled and I was bawling until she took me in her arms and whispered to me

"Nzuri. You're okay, you're safe, nothing is gonna hurt you. I got you."

Finally blinking my eyes, I came
To a impossible realization.

I looked up and couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"M-mom?"
