*Nzuri POV*

"AHHHH!" I woke up out my sleep hearing them go into the room next door to me. I kept my head under the covers as I tried to drown out her screams and cries. I couldn't help her. I couldn't even help myself.

I began crying and asking God to help me and praying that I wasn't next. I found myself doing that a lot lately. Praying. But God wasn't hearing me. He wasn't hearing any of the girls down here.

I heard them slam the door and waited a couple of minutes before I got up. It was filled with silence except for her whimpers. 'You're such a coward Nzuri' I thought to myself. I got up slowly and began walking to the wall which really wasn't a wall but like a see through glass ... sort of like a big window.

I could see her and she could see me.. hell if you looked around you could see everyone. We were all so close together but so separated. They wanted us to see what they were doing to us.

They wanted us to see each other being torn down and beat up. I saw her laying there. Not moving. It scared me. "Kat-Kataleya?" I crawled close to her window and held my hand up to it. For what seemed like forever she laid there. Like a stuffed bear rug, she said nothing, she did nothing. "Kataleya I need to know if you're okay!" I cried out my voice breaking every other word.

She began to move, I could tell every move she tried to take it hurt her. She crawled over to me and put her head on the opposing glass.

She didn't say anything. Just cried. Words wouldn't mean anything right now, How can you try to make light out of a dark situation with no matches or wood? I took a deep breath,
"When your back's up
On the wall
Chronic failure
You've been called
When you feel there's no escape
I'll be there
Oh.
I'll be there through rough winds and rain and ice
I'll be there when the nights fall and troubles rise
I'll be there when you need me
No matter what how or when
My friend, I'll be there
Whenever you faced with what you feel like you can't bare
Call on me (Call on me) and I'll be (and I'll be)
Beside you until the end
Lift your head up and stand tall
Promise I won't let you fall
When you reach, I will extend
I'll be there
I'll be there through the rough winds, rain and ice
I'll be there when the nights falls and troubles rise
I'll be there if you need me
No matter what how or when
My friend, I'll be there"

It always seemed to help her calm down whenever I sung to her. I don't know how long I've been down here, but it feels like forever. Whoever thought that I'd get kidnapped twice in one year.

Those stories that you hear about human trafficking... they're true. They take you, from your family, your home, and they don't even think twice about it.. your first thought is always "I didn't think it could happen to me" but when facts hit. It can happen to anybody. Anytime. Anywhere.

Kataleya was a pretty brownskin girl. She was 18. She had no family and no friends, she was out robbing houses from rich people whenever they weren't home, but STILL.. did she deserve this?

"W-what does the name Kataleya mean?" I asked. Keeping conversations in here stop us from going crazy. It makes us feel like we're still human, it keeps our feet on the ground when really we want to be floating in the air.
She smiled, "it's spanish. For Orchid.
