Sebastian didn't say anything to after waking me from my reoccurring nightmare. He just pulled me into his lap and said soothing things until I stopped crying. When I finally had control over myself he simply asked if I was hungry. I nodded and he let me go to the bathroom to get changed and wash my face of the salty tear remnants. When I returned to the room he was already dressed in a loose fitting black hoodie and grey sweatpants. I was dressed in a similar hoodie and charcoal grey sweatpants I borrowed from Hazel. Both of the clothing items hung off my malnourished body.

"I've decided that today we are going to the mall." He announced as we walked down the stairs together. I stopped walking and he turned back to me. "You need clothes. Clothes that fit you and don't belong to my sister." He said.

"But I...I have no money." I said looking at my hands.

"You don't need any. This pack has an endless supply of money. Don't ask how but we do." He said pulling me along into the kitchen. As soon as we passed through the entryway we saw Hazel and Collin making out with her on the island. I gasped and looked at the floor causing them to jump apart and Sebastian to laugh. Hazel then cleared her throat and hopped off the bar.

"Before you ask, dear brother, yes I will go to the mall with you to the mall to help my newest sister-in-law pick out clothes." She said while rummaging through the cabinets. When she found what she was looking for she went to the refrigerator and grabbed other supplies.

"What are you making maybe I could help?" I said moving to her side. She smiled.

"I was planning on making pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and gravy. Can you cook?" She said.

"Yes. I used to help my caregiver cook for the rest of the pack when I was little." I explained. She nodded and handed me the eggs. After about 20 minutes Hazel and I had a feast cooked up. As we were cooking more and more pack members gathered at the table mumbling something about a delicious smell. When we were done some of the mothers helped us set the table for the large amount of members and put the food in front of them. As I was scooping eggs onto the plates of the children sitting at the kids table, a small figure ran into my legs causing me to drop my bowl. Glass and eggs splattered everywhere. On instinct, I grabbed the small figure that hit me, which happened to be a little boy, and held him close to me trying to avoid him getting cut my the shards. Not caring that I was stepping on glass, I carried the boy to the island and set him down gently. The boy looked as if he was going to burst out in tears at any moment.

"I sowy." He said in a small voice before he silently started crying. I pulled him close to my body in hopes that it would soothed him.

"It is alright little one, I'm not angry." I said into his ear. When he heard me he stopped crying and leaned backwards. "What is your name?"

"Sammy." He sniffled.

"Hi Sammy! My name is Ari. Where are you parents?" I asked.

"They gone." He said in a small voice. My heart broke for him. Did he mean dead? I brushed the blonde hair away from his face.

"How old are you Sammy?" He quickly held up four fingers before sticking his thumb in his mouth and leaning his head against my shoulder. I sighed and turned around to face the others. They were all staring at me slack-jawed, aside from the few omegas that were cleaning up the glass shards. I looked towards Sebastian for an explanation but he was giving me the same awestruck look mixed with admiration. "What?"

"Well...um...You are the first person that has gotten Samuel to talk since his parents we killed right in front of him two years ago." Thomas said bluntly. I looked from him to the small blonde haired, blue-eyed child in my arms that was gently sucking his thumb.

"Oh." Was all I could say. One of the Omegas came and tried to take the boy out of my arms but he just screamed until she let go.

"I am sorry Luna. H-he's never done this before." She said with her eyes respectfully to the ground.

"It alright. And call me Ari. Does he have a room?" I asked her. She nodded and started to walk out of the kitchen. I gave Sebastian one last glance before following her up the stairs and to the left, all the way down the hallway, to the last door to the right. She opened the door to show a plain room with a small bed and dresser in the corners. The Omega gave a curt nod before heading back down the hallway leaving me alone with Samuel. I tried to gently set him down on the bed but the boy held onto my neck with a death grip. Eventually I gave up and sat down on the bed with him still in my arms. "Sammy? You've got to let me go sweetie. I won't leave you I promise. Just let me go okay?" The boy eventually unwrapped his arms from around my neck and I sighed. I gently set him down on his bed beside me but when I tried to stand he started to scream and latched onto my leg. I sighed and sat back down beside him.

"I think it's because you look like his mother." Sebastian said from his spot on in the doorway. "You kind of resemble Mary in a way." He said.

"He won't let me leave his side." I said. "So I guess our mall trip is off?"

"No we can still go we'll just have to take Sammy with us." Sebastian said. I nodded and moved to kneel in front of Sammy.

"Alright Sammy. Today we are going to go to the store to do some shopping okay?" He nodded. "Now I need to go to your closet to get you some clothes is that okay? I will be right here okay?" The boy thought for a moment then nodded his head slightly. I picked him out a regular pair of blue jeans and a shirt that said, Bad to the Bone with a cute skull and cross bones and a black hoodie with black vans. After I had him dressed I carried him to the room Sebastian and I shared to find my mate lying on the bed. "Can Sebastian hold you while I change? He is pretty cool. I mean not as cool as I am but still pretty cool." I said causing Sebastian to playfully glare at me. Sammy giggled and nodded his head permitting me to hand him to my mate. Once the boy was out of my arms I quickly threw on a loose-fitting flowing tank top with a black heart on the front, white skinny jeans, and black converse that matched the top. I pulled my hair into a high pony tail grabbed a jacket, then left the bathroom to see Sebastian throwing Sammy up in the air. I smiled from the doorway until Sebastian caught sight of me and set Sammy on the ground, who sprinted towards me. I caught him when he jumped towards me and put him on my hip. We then walked hand in hand down the stairs and to the garage where Hazel, Collin, Celestria, Kale, Vera, and Lucas were already waiting. At the sight of my mark on my shoulder Vera's face converted into a smile but in the same moment I passed her and she saw the whip scars on my back. She gasped and I sighed. "It happened. And those scars will be there forever. Might as well not let it hold me back." I mumbled proceeding to put Samuel in his seat that someone had strapped into Sebastian's black jeep. "Besides, this is my first mall trip so lets not sour the fun huh?" I said before slipping on my jacket and jumping in the front seat without another word.
