I awoke to only the faint smell of my mate in the room. the last fresh scent of him must have disappeared hours ago. I shot around the room to find it completely empty. Looking at the clock on the nightstand I realized it was 2 in the afternoon. Wow I must have been tired. On the nightstand next to the clock there was a paper folded with my name on it. I grabbed it and opened it reading the contents.

Dear Ari,

Don't panic. I had a meeting with another Alpha and will be back around 6. There are clothes left on the bathroom counter for you and I have arranged for you to spend the day with your sister and mine. Feel free to do as you like. Go shopping. Binge on Netflix. Do whatever but have fun.

Love,

Sebastian

When I finished reading I smiled. I walked into the bathroom and found an oversized black sweater, white skinny jeans, and black converse. When I was dressed I brushed my hair and teeth using Sebastian's brushes then left the room. When I made my way down the stairs I saw Hazel and Vera sitting on the bottom steps. When they heard me descending they shot up and turned around to face me. Hazel smiled.

"I knew those clothes would fit you! They are mine from a couple years ago. Bash was just going to leave you some of my regular clothes but I knew they wouldn't fit you. You are smaller than me." She explained. I nodded and looked at Vera.

"You look great Ari." She agreed. "But your hair, dear sister, needs work. Now come sit on the couch and let me work my magic." I nodded and let her lead me to the couch. I sat and waited patiently as my sister expertly weaved my hair into a braid. When she was almost finished we heard a scoff from behind us.

"That won't help the Bitch." A familiar, snotty voice snorted. Hazel growled but Vera calmly finished my hair. "I really don't understand what Sebastian sees in the slut. I mean look at her!" Stephanie snorted.

"Shut up Stephanie!" Hazel growled again. "I swear if you don't leave I'll...I'll-"

"You'll what? Rip me apart with your non-existent wolf?" Stephanie shot back. As soon as the words came out of her mouth Vera and Hazel gasped and I shot around. Stephanie was almost rolling on the floor with laughter. "What no response?" I felt Anja pushing up against my mental walls and this time I let her through. In the blink of an eye, I had Stephanie up against the wall by her throat. She was thrashing around violently for breath but Anja was letting her suffer. When she looked like she was about to pass out, Anja lowered her closer to our face. The fear in her eyes told me my eyes were glowing.

"What no more words little girl?" Anja hissed in her face. Stephanie shook her head furiously and opened her mouth to speak. Anja loosened her grip to let her.

"Oh My God!" She screamed. "What the hell are you? Let me go!" She screamed thrashing violently causing Anja to only laugh.

"I am going to let you go then you are going to apologize to Hazel and you are going to apologize to my human and when you are done you will leave. Am I understood?" Anja asked. Stephanie nodded again furiously. Anja dropped her and she fell to the ground gasping for air. She looked up past me at Hazel.

"I'm sorry! I'm really sorry!" She gasped before sprinting out of the room. When she was out of sight Anja gave me back control. When the barrier was built up back in my mind I took a deep breath and turned back around. I wasn't surprised to find Hazel and Vera staring slack-jawed at me.

"I guess I have a lot to explain?" I said innocently shrugging my shoulders.

"A little!?" Hazel screamed. "More like a lot!"

"Come on." Vera said calmly. "Lets go to A La Mode and get some ice cream. She can explain their." We all agreed and hoped in Hazel's car heading to town. The drive to town was relatively quite. Every once in awhile Vera would switch the station or Hazel would crack a joke but other than that, nothing. When we arrived at A La Mode we each ordered and silently picked a table in the back corner where no one would bother us. Before I could even get my spoon in my mouth Hazel pounced on me with questions.

"So what are you? Did Blood Moon do some type of genetic alteration? Can you fly?" She asked in one breath.

"Okay Hazel slow down." I said stopping her. "I guess for you to understand I have to tell you the legend of the Guardian wolves."
