Sebastian POV
When I woke up this morning to see my mate sleep peacefully in my bed I was in Heaven. Sure I was stuck on the couch but I still had my mate nonetheless. I had given up hope of finding a mate after two long years of visiting almost every pack in America and even some in Europe. To think I almost crowned Stephanie as Luna! I was so stupid. She is a bitch and now I can see it. My wolf, Kian, was very restless so I decided to go for a run. I left Ari clothes and a note telling her where I was them took off. I ran for miles until I saw a strange blue light shoot up through the trees about so miles away from where I was. I ran to back to the house to see what was happening and ran into a very frantic Kale. When he saw me he relaxed slightly. Ari! Was all he said before he took of running into the woods. I followed him instantly and caught up with him easily. We ran in silence for about 2 minutes until the blue light came into view. I looked at him confused but he only repeated his statement from earlier. My eyes widened in realization and I shot forward into the blue light. The site in front of me was shockingly beautiful and scary. The trees were all scorched and black as if someone had set fire to them. The earth was crumbled as if there was an earthquake. I looked up to see Ari floating in mid-air, power pulsing around her in waves. She was screaming in agony. Then suddenly it was over. The blue light and power disappeared and Ari just fell. I lunged and caught her before she hit the ground. I set her gently on the ground and brushed the hair off her sweaty forehead.

"Ari?" I pleaded. When she didn't respond I started to panic. "Ari!" When I yelled louder she stirred slightly. When she did I shot up and ran her back to the house as fast as I could. I ran her all the way to the hospital wing of the pack house and gently set her down on the bed. Reluctant to let her go I yelled for Joseph the doctor on staff at the moment. When he entered the room he took in my unconscious mate and immediately started calling out orders.

"What happened?" He asked me while taking her pulse.

"I don't know she had some sort of power surge." I explain frantically. He nodded and checked the rest of her vitals. When he looked at his notes he relaxed.

"Alpha I think she is fine. I think she just wore herself out and is sleeping it off." He explained. "Don't worry. I will keep her overnight and run tests but we may just have to let her body rest and heal itself." I nodded and he left the room to order tests. I looked at my beautiful mats lying in the hospital bed and felt rage well up inside me. I would find out what set her off. I would find out who set her off. And they will be punished.
