Silly Baby

Natsu's POV

I've been looking for Luke for hours and the only place where his scent has been the strongest was my house. I decided to head over there again and see if I missed anything when we first lost Luke. It angers me to say that I can't find him, but I'm not going to tell Lucy anything until I find Luke dead or alive. It terrified as much as Lucy to know that my son was missing, and it's not like he ran away because he can only crawl.

I walked in heavy steps towards my house with Dion, a soldier under my command, in tow. I told him to wait outside and check the perimeter for any signs. I unlocked the front door and was flooded with the scent of Luke. It brought tears to my eyes.

My head snapped up when I heard a small cooing sound coming from Luke's room. I didn't feel myself move when I found myself in Luke's room. I stayed silent and listened for the cooing noise again, and then it came. It was coming from the toy basket by his window. There was Luke playing with his toys with such content. I fell to my knees and shakily picked him up. When Luke saw me, his face lit up like a Christmas tree. I pulled him my chest and laughed in relief when I left him to grab onto my shirt and start making small chewing sounds. Normally I would have pulled my shirt away and replaced with a toy for teething, but this time I let him chew away.

I ran outside with Luke in my arms and called for Dion. "Head Captain! You found him!"

"Go inform my wife, now. Tell her to come back here with Nashi and Happy." Dion nodded and went off back to the Main Station, where I left her. Not even a minute after I gave him the order, Virgo appeared in front of me. Luke giggled and reached out to her Virgo. She gladly accepted and took him in her arms and then looked at me dead in the eye,

"Dion! Wait a moment!" I commanded, "Virgo..."

"Princess has asked for your assistance at the front gate. Fairytail seems to have found you. They asked Sir Finch to send word for Princess. When she arrived, she gave an order telling Sir Juno and Sir Finch to keep Fairytail out of Water's Edge. Capricorn, Leo, Aries, Sir Finch, Sir Juno, and Princess are trying there best to hold them off." My eyes grew wide in shock. Lucy was using more magic power then she had in a very long time. She'd normally summon Virgo or Aries to help with the twins every so often.

"Are you using your own Magic Power?"

"Yes, Sir Natsu, I noticed how quickly the others were summoned and decided I'd help."

" Okay... Dion, Virgo, let's go."

Hours earlier
Lucy's POV

After I gave me the order I watched as my old friends had shock written across their faces. I was trembling with fear and the added stress of my son's disappearance made it worse. I fell to my knees and held my head, in a split reaction Juno ran over to me to make sure I was okay. I nodded and he went back to following out his order. I know I'm abusing my power by doing this, but I know Natsu would have done the same thing in this situation. Erza started fighting back, but it was more like she was desperate to see me again. Gajeel had accepted my decision and held back a sobbing Levy in his arms. Gray just stood there with his fists in balls and the air became very cold. Juvia was crying on the ground, begging me to let them in so they could see me. I felt horrible but I had no other choice. I summoned Aries and Loke to help remove Fairytail from Water's Edge. They both gave me a pitiful look as I was gasping for air on the ground. Loke was trying to reason with Erza but she was trying to push past him. I saw her reaching out for me and screaming my name.

Virgo appeared next to me and touched my shoulder, "Princess? Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Can you get Natsu and tell him to come to help me, I can't keep this up for very long." I huffed as I stood up and staggered towards Juno who had taken a step back to breathe. Virgo went off to find Natsu, and I put a tired hand on his shoulder. He jumped a little and looked back at me.

"Go home for the day. You're too young and still learning to be going against Fairytail." Juno looked defeated but turned and I walked him towards Nadeem, who happened to be passing. Juno and Nadeem acted like brother and sister so I left him in her care. She asked me to go with, but I refused. "Luce?" I turned to my right and saw Natsu running towards me. Next to him was Virgo holding my baby boy. Tears fell from my eyes as I fell to my knees. I shakily held my arms out to my son. He laughed and practically jumped into my arms. I held him so close and didn't want to let go,

"Where did you-"

"I'll tell you later." Natsu bent down and kissed my forehead and then walked over to my Spirits and dismissed them. By now the travelers and merchants had left the ruckus and went back where they can. At the sight of my husband, Fairytail stopped dead in their tracks. I knew the face he bore, it was a deadly look that could make the mightiest of warriors bow down to him. All the cries and screams had silenced when my husband began to say one simple word, "Begone."

He spoke in such a menacing tone, venom dripping like water from his mouth. Gray, unmoving, and still, are the air colder with his anger. Natsu tapped his foot on the ground once, releasing low flames on the ground causing the chilly air to subside. Natsu kept his gaze on Gray as he did so. Gray's head shot up, his eyes filled with fury,

"What the hell are you doing?" Gray spoke low and evilly. I know Natsu wanted to rip Gray to shreds but he kept his composure,

"Doing my job. You must obey my Wife's orders and leave, never to return again." Natsu kept his posture stiff and unwavering. I saw Levy look at me and Luke, she smiled and nodded. Gajeel loosened his grip on her and looked down at her,

"Shrimp?"

"Alright. Natsu, Lucy. If this is what you want then we will comply." Levy grabbed Gajeel's hand and bent down to grab Juvia with her other. She walked off with them in her hands. Gray looked back at the ground and stormed off behind Juvia. Erza had fallen to the ground and clenched the dirt below her in her hand. I stood up slowly and walked up to her. I know Natsu was pissed to see Erza crying silently, but she's a girl with emotions just like me.

"Finch," I spoke making Erza look up with hope. The gate opened a bit and I took Luke with me as I walked through. I bent down in front of Erza and put my forehead to hers,

"You have to protect your family and we have to protect ours." Sadness laced my words as Luke was smiling brightly and reaching out to touch Erza's hair. She stayed quiet as she watched Luke reach for her hair. We both watched as his face became very focused on grabbing her long red hair. Erza smiled and took a strand of hair and placed it in Luke's hand. He giggled and happily examined it,

"But you are my family." She looked at me hopefully. Tears threatened to fall when she spoke. I grabbed her hand,

"Protect Fairytail for us." I smiled as silent tears fell from my already puffy eyes. Natsu can be beside me and held out his hands for both me and Erza. I took it first and almost immediately after I stood up straight he let my hand go and wrapped his arm around my waist. Erza took it with hesitation and sadness. She went to speak but Natsu beat her to it,

"Don't say goodbye. It makes it seem permanent." He smiled his big toothy grin. Moments later, Erza pulled the three of us into a hug,

"Then, see you later." Natsu and I hugged back and we all reluctantly let go. Erza walked away to catch up with the rest of the group. We watched until she was out of sight. My legs gave out on me and I leaned on Natsu as he quickly took Luke before I dropped the poor baby.

Natsu went to take over Finch's post at the front gate. While Finch walked me and Luke home. Grandma June was waiting there with Nashi and Happy. Finch and Grandma June left shortly after I arrived. I cleaned up the kids, fed them, and changed them. I knew Natsu wasn't going to come home tonight so I had Virgo bring him dinner. Natsu never told me where or how he found Luke so I was a bit nervous to have them sleep in their rooms, so I let them sleep with me. Luke didn't want to sleep until I laid him on my chest, that knocked him out fast,

"Just like your father, you silly baby," I whispered.
