Lucy's POV

After Fairytail won by a landslide, the entire guild held a big party at the inn we stayed at. In the end, we got kicked out because we were too loud and caused... a lot of property damage. I sat with the girls most of the night, watching Natsu and the guys drink and fight. He seemed to be having fun. It made my heart sore to know we'll have to head back to Water's Edge. We said we'd return in time for Natsu to start working again. It wouldn't be fair to them if we stayed in Magnolia to figure everything out, besides I do miss Grandma June, Juno, Finch, and many other people in Water's Edge. They were good people. Always cheery and happy. Not that Fairytail isn't, but it was nice to know more people cared about us when we, mainly me, were scared out of our minds. I tried to push the growing guilt down to the pit of my stomach.

Eventually, we were already on the train back to Water's Edge. It was hard to leave. Unlike last time, we got to say goodbye. Juvia kept silently thanking me for protecting her during the games; The memory made me smile.

Nashi was restless and Luke was dead asleep. Natsu was fast asleep against the window with Luke snoring into his chest. I had to move with Nashi across the aisle to not wake the snoring dragons. I assumed she was starting to get motion sickness like her dad. Unfortunately, Natsu took the last of the medicine so Nashi buried her face in my chest and whined until the train stopped. She gripped on my clothes tightly as I stood to get her off the train. In her ever-growing confusion, Nashi started crying waking Luke and Natsu up with her screams. I grimaced at Natsu while picking up Luke from his lap. Luke stared at Nashi in disgust at the loud noise she was making. Waking Luke up from a nap was like taking Erza's cake, deadly.

Natsu carried the bags and Happy tried to cheer Nashi, who was not feeling amazing. Natsu was the first to spot Finch standing at the gate, "Finch!" My husband couldn't wave but being loud was a specialty of his.

The boy's eyes grew large. He smiled and waved excitedly before remembering that Natsu was his superior he straightened himself out. "Hello, Sir. Welcome home," His eyes traveled over to me and the twins before breaking into a not-so-held-back sob.

"Mrs. Dragneel! I missed you so much! And the twins! I missed you cuties too!" I couldn't help but laugh at his outburst while Natsu was still in front of him. I gladly let him hug the twins and me tightly. Natsu cleared his throat causing Finch to quickly take on a formal and professional attitude, "I'll cover your shift tomorrow." Natsu smiled before walking through the gates. I followed behind with a gentle smile towards my kids as they giggled and reached for the familiar faces.

I don't know how but we had successfully made it to the house without anyone else stopping us. Nashi was already beginning to fuss upon entering the dark, cold house so I promptly put her to bed in her crib while Luke played with Happy's tail in the living room with Natsu.

"Hey, Luce?" Natsu called from the kitchen. I silently cursed as I closed Nashi's door. Shuffling into the kitchen I shushed him, "Keep it down. Nashi didn't sleep on the train."

"So you didn't either." I nodded completely oblivious to Natsu's gaze on me. Suddenly he was in front of me. It startled me a bit to have him suddenly appear out of nowhere. Before I could jump in surprise his arms wrapped around me, lifting me over his shoulder. "What are you doing? Put me down." A hit his back twice with my palm to further my plea.

"No," He carried me into our bedroom, "You need to sleep." He threw me on the bed and laid on top of me. I couldn't help but giggle as he nuzzled into my side. "Natsu, our child is in the living room alone. Our infant child."

"They're almost a year old and Happy's out there with him."

"Oh my god. Our kids are almost a year old... Why does that make me feel old?"

"Part of me doesn't want them to grow up..." There was a sort of pain behind his words. I understood what he meant. It seemed like only yesterday I was writhing in pain with sweat pouring from every part of my body before those two chaos creators were born. A small smile painted itself on my face as I thought back to the beginning. When we first came here I thought that I'd regret everything I'd done to get here, but now I wouldn't change it for the world. I knew that before the twins were born.

Natsu brought me back to reality with a gentle hand cupping my face. My eyes flickered over to him, "What?"

"Nothing. You just look pretty, I mean you always do, but right now you're stunning."

"How are you and what did you do with my husband?"

"What! I've always been like this. What are you talking about." Natsu sat up a little tickled my stomach making me laugh and scrunch up into his chest. The moment left as quick as it came. Soon Natsu had his arms wrapped around my torso, our legs were intertwined.

"We need to make a decision..." I didn't want to bring it up but it was an inevitable conversation.

"What do you want to do?" It was obvious both of us were stuck at a crossroads. Tears started to swell in my eyes. I buried my face deeper into Natsu's chest, "I don't know."

"What if he split our time?" Natsu tried to offer a solution to the problem but there were so many flaws with that.

"Natsu, that's not fair to either side."

"I know... Please don't cry." I could only nod and sniffle. "We can't just leave all the connections we've made here, right?"

"I don't think that would be fair. What if we stayed here and visited Fairytail every so often?"

"How many times a year?"

"However many times the mayor approves, I guess."

"I can talk to him tomorrow."

"Want me to come with you? I can have Grandma June watch the kids for the day. They will also give me time to go shopping for food and whatever else we need. Oh, that reminds me, write down what you need and give it to me in the morning; You know I'll forget." My head snapped up while converting to mom mode. Natsu laughed and wiped the tears off my face.

"I know you will." His voice was soft and sweet. His hands held my face as he pulled my lips to his.
