ANDREI'S POV

Three months.

Three months of hell.

The moment I stepped on our home after the incident at the bar, I knew something was different, parang may mali.

I immediately ran to Syd's room to check on her pero magulong kwarto ang nadatnan ko.

I checked her closet. Some clothes were missing.

Biglang nagpanic ang buong katawan ko. I immediately called her phone.

But, she's not answering. I tried and tried and tried. I even sent her messages asking her to talk to me and let me explain. Pero kahit blank message na reply, wala akong nareceive.

On my, what I think was my one hundred and second attempt, she finally answered.

"Syd! Babe, Let me explain. I'm sorry for what you saw earlier." I said, sounding as if my life depends on it. And it's true, my life is on it.

"Thank you for your birthday gift." she said coldly. "Naawa pa man din ako sa'yo because I thought the emergency you were talking about was work. Ibang work naman pala. A work more important than my birthday. So thank you."

I wanted to tell her she was wrong. That she misunderstood everything but the line went dead.

I tried calling her again but she did not answer and later on, her line cannot be reached.

"AAAAHHHHHHH!" I screamed out of frustration. Sinabunutan ko pa ang sarili ko. But I don't feel pain from it. Mas na feel ko yung sakit sa puso ko.

Honestly, gusto kong magalit sa kanya. She did not even let me explain.

But my love for her takes all the anger I have. I just hope same goes for her.

When I have calmed a little, I realized maybe she just need space and time. And I'm willing to give both to her.
