Almost half of our shift, Deanna asked us to review the patient's records. She also asked us to read a few references bago kami naghuddle.

Actually, parang katulad siya ni Bea na pag trabaho, trabaho talaga. The only difference lang nila is nakakunot lang lagi ang noo nitong si Deanna pag seryoso. Kaya siguro nasasabihan siyang masungit.

"So based on the facts about the patient's current condition, what type of procedure should I perform?" Deanna asked.

Hinihintay kong sumagot yung dalawa pero mukang nag iwasan lang sila ng tingin. Kaya bumaling si Deanna sa akin and asked.

"Yes, Dr Galanza?" She asked.

"Uhmm, I think... Ahm, since it was caused mainly by head trauma, Burr Hole Drainage should be performed. Based on the scan, the clot is localized and does not affect any other essential parts of the cranial cavity." I said na medyo kabado.

She stared at me for a while before she asked, "So how is this procedure done?"

"Local anesthesia with a small hole on the skull enough to drain the fluid," Thirdy explained.

"Do we need antibiotics before the procedure?" Deanna asked.

"It is suggested to avoid any complication brought about by any infection," Ced answered.

Medyo nangiti ako kasi at least sumasagot na sila.

"What are the risks of this procedure?" Deanna asked this time she was looking at me so I am assuming that I should answer it.

"The risks can lead to complications such as brain injury, accumulation of fluid in the brain, particularly on the area where it was performed, possible seizure, weakness, bleeding, infection, or worse, it may lead to stroke and paralysis," I answered with a bit of confidence.

Akala niya siguro hindi ko inaral.

"Alright then, I guess you are all ready for tomorrow. Rest well and I'll see you all in the OR." She said and left us.

"Grabe pala si Deanna, para tayong kakainin ng buhay. Mas nakakaintimidate pa kay Doc Bea..." Comment ni Ced while we were fixing our things.

"Well, dapat naman kasi talaga nag basa tayo ng mabuti. Sabi ni Doc Gonzales, mahigpit daw talaga si Doc Wong." Thirdy said.

"Ikaw kasi eh, ang kulit mo eh, di tuloy ako makaconcentrate." Medyo inis na hirit ni Ced.

"Wag na kayo magtalo. Buti na lang nasagot nyo yung tanong niya. Next time kasi focus tayo guys..." Awat ko sakanila.

Napangiti si Thirdy, "Naku Jema, tong kaibigan mo kasi..."

"Hmp, halika na nga Thirds!" Ced mentioned as she rolled her eyes on him.

Napa iling na lang uli ako sa dalawa. Tong dalawang to wala pang malinaw na label pero kung magtampuhan parang magjowa na.

Binilisan ko na lang yung pagliligpit ko at dumiretso na din ng locker. Palabas na sana ako ng side entrance ng may biglang kumalabit sa akin sa kanang balikat kaya napatigil ako at lumingon pero wala akong nakita.

Guniguni ko lang ata. Pinatuloy ko ang paglalakad. Ilang hakbang pa lang ako ay may kumalabit uli sa kaliwang balikat ko. Hmmnnn mukang may nakikipaglaro sa akin. Kaya agad akong lumingon sa right side and I saw ang nakabungisngis na si Iza.

Napangiti akong umiiling. Habang napa peace sign siya sa akin.

Nagpatuloy lang akong naglakad habang sinundan niya ako.
