In the wide and open desert, three figures could be seen traversing the sandy domain. Behind them were humans who dragged their feet as they tried to withstand the harsh winds and the heat of the sun. These people were the survivors from the secret base of the Half-Excelcises which fell just a few days ago.

At the start , the group of humans rode a vehicle to hasten their escape. However, environmental factors made it hard to last long so they had to take the rest of the journey on foot.

"How much farther are we from my brother and the others?" A voice sounded out from the helmet of one of the three figures leading the way. It was Amy.

"If we continue with our current speed, it's just one day ahead." One of the figures next to her answered.

Amy sighed. The path was already dangerous enough but they even had to take in consideration the normal humans with them. This made the stress that the three half-excelcis that was already heavy enough from watching out for danger increase. She couldn't help but worry.

As she was buried deep into her thoughts, a powerful voice sounded out. She regained her senses and turned her gaze to the sky.

The voice came from a huge fortisian carrying a spear on his hand. He stood on top of a hoverboard. Just his presence alone was domineering to the people below who laid their eyes upon him.

"So you lot are still here. Saves me the time of having to travel just to find you." He said and flashed a grin.

Amy and the others were alarmed. Without wasting any time, they quickly backed up and shielded the normal humans behind them.

"Dont worry, I won't kill you. We still need you to be interrogated back at the base. But as for the others...Heh!" The fortisian smirked as he set his eyes upon the normal humans behind Amy.

"Dont you dare!" Amy screamed and took out her concentration gun.

Her eyes were narrowed as she faced the enemy. She can't fall here or else her parents and everyone behind her will lose their lives.

"Stay off to the side!" The fortisian glanced at her and disappeared from his position.

A bone tail was headed towards her direction. It was too fast for her to dodge and she couldn't do anything but brace herself for the impact. However, the sharp end of the tail never made contact with her. It stopprd just a few centimeters away fron her chest.

To everyone's surprise, the fortisian fell to the ground with the whites of his eyes showing.

"I'm glad I'm not late." a voice sounded out from behind her.

Amy turned around to see a man on a hover board quite similar to what the fortisian had used. His body was covered in clothing just like the others but it wasn't as thick as theirs.

Although his face was hidden through the covers, she was still able to recognize his identity.

"Bro!" Amy exclaimed and leaped at him, tears couldn't help but gather at her eyes.

Kian caught her in his arms and hugged her tightly as he descended off the hoverboard.

"Kian, is that really you?" someone from the crowd said.

Two figures slowly approached them. One of them was a middle aged woman and the other was a man of similar age. The one who spoke was the woman. Her hands were trembling as she slowly held them out and grabbed Kian's.

"Mom, Dad. It's me!" Kian said, his voice a bit emotional.

All along, he thought he would never reunite with his family once again. He was stuck in a game with no assurance that he could escape. He even lost his body. At that moment, he felt as if the mountain of stress on his shoulders had been lifted.

A short reunion occurred. After chatting with them for a bit, Kian turned his attention back to the other humans. He couldn't help but furrow his eyebrows as he did so.

"Where are the others?" He asked Amy.

"T-this. In order to buy time for use to escape, the others stayed behind to slow down the enemies." Amy explained, her face grim as she did so.

"It seems that we have to cut our reunion short. You have to proceed carefully through the valley ahead. Here's the map. Be careful." Kian said and handed her a watch before he took the hoverbaord of the fallen fortisian and hopped into it.

He bid goodbye to the others and dashed off to the distance.

The new hover board was faster than what he had before. Thus, it didn't took a long time before he arrived at the place where the humans and the aliens faced each other.

Near the battlefield were huge cages that housed Half-Excelcises who he was familiar with. Fortisians and Fluctusans guarded them which prevented the other Half-Excelcises from rescuing their comrades.

Most of the Half-Excelcises were heavily injured. Still, they continued to hold their ground. However, it was obvious that they wouldn't be able to hold on for much longer.

Kian's expression turned dark as he watched as the defeated Half-Excelcis were carried into the cages. Some of them were even people he was familiar with.

"Fortisians, Fluctusans! Today, none of you will be able to leave alive!" He bellowed furiously and charged towards the enemies.
