The skies were still the dark ceiling that covered the whole Paimon Territory. However, it was brughtwr than ever as lights made from mana rose and fell. Any Magi that steps into the place would feel the hugr change the quality and quantity of mana.

Inside Shade Academy's hospital, Kian laid on the bed. His pale was pale and his previous brown hair now had a few strands of white hair.

It's been a week since the monster rebellion occurred.

Right after Kian used up almost all of his mana, he contacted the mana deficiency and fell asleep. Although no one could see his Status Screen, they could tell that his strength and other physical attributes stats went down by a lot.

According to the doctors who were NPCs, he wouldn't be able to recover his lost stats and so he had to retrain them again. Thankfully, he was a magus so he didn't really needed them that much. However, he still haven't woken up which worried friends even more.

Bea gripped his hand and sighed.

"When is he going to wake up? His hairs are also still white?" she asked worriedly to the beautiful nurse who just examined Kian's body.

"Don't worry. He's fine. Besides, he looks quite cool in that hair" the nurse sent the sleeping Kian a dreamy look.

It seems she was quite attracted to the guy sleeping like a prince at the bed for the whole bed.

"W-wha?"Bea couldn't help but gasp and quickly shooed her away. To think that this girl would actually be attracted to a guy she didn't even know.

The nurse giggled at her and quickly left.

"Shameless!" Bea couldn't help but mutter.

Suddenly, Kian beside her groaned. She was alerted and turned her head towards him.

"Your awake!" she was so happy and relieved that she couldn't help but hug him.

Of course, this hug didn't have any other important meaning. Well, maybe there was but that was not the point. She was just really happy.

Kian however who just woke up and had a headache couldn't quite process what was happening when the girl already hugged him. He had quite a bit of difficulty in breathing so he tried to move away from her whenever suddenly, the door opened.

It was actually Shawn who planned in visiting Kian. He had an expression that was blank as if he had given up on life. He slowly started to tremble.

"T-the two of you" he smiled bitterly and turned away, leaving a few drops of tears on the air.

"I-it's not what you are thinking about. H-hey wait!" Bea who didn't notice the tears shouted from embarrassment. After all, they were in a position where once could mistake them from being intimate.

However, Shawn already run away. Even though he was already far, they could still hear his sons.

Kian couldn't help but feel pity for Shawn who still hasn't confessed yet to the girl he likes but then saw her with another guy hugging on a bed.

"That guy may say something bad to others about what he found. I gotta go okay? I still have to fetch the little ones too. I'll call the nurse on the way" Bea said worriedly at Kian and went off.

Kian shrugged. It was now up to the two to resolve the little tangles of love and heartbreak between them.

He checked the date and found out that a week had passed ever since the battle. Just from this, he could already infer a lot of things. It seems they really won the war since he could still lie on this bed without hearing any sounds of battle.
