There had been a couple more battles between the human players and the Excelcis. Winners and losers always changed sides and took away a lot of lives this made them a lot more irreconcilable.

On the wide grasslands, players that numbered for more than two hundred marched together. Each and every single one of them had silver hair and blue eye crystals of varying shades. They were the players that converted into Half-Excelcis.

On the lead were Kian, Vanish, and the other guild leaders of the top ten guilds.

They marched together till they reached the gates of Boreas City. The gates were no longer majestic unlike before. They were on the ground and broken so the ruined city inside the city walls could be seen.

Today is the day of war against the Excelcis. If they fail, there might be no second chance. They couldn't wait anymore. After some preparation, they immediately headed here because if still delayed, more humans will die.

The moment they entered the city, groups of Excelcis race members appeared from the ruined buildings and launched an ambush. This was not a surprise to the already prepared players though.

A great battle started the players were particularly aggresive especially their leaders.

Kian opened his inventory and threw black bombs to the three powerful Excelcises that came over to him. The bombs exploded and released potent psyche energy that isntantly ripped apart the trio.

Their red eye crystals merged with his own and increased his psyche stat. However, he quickly went for another kill.

His bombs were especially strong and convenient to use. They were made from the combination of metal, darkness, and psyche energy. Moreover, they could be stored in the inventory for future use.

The battle was quickly finished. The enemies they encountered were only fodder after all. The true enemies awaited them in Boreas Tower. To be specific, the main base of the Excelcis race which was Aether Castle.

They encountered a few more groups and some of them even took the lives of players. However, this didn't top them from marching forward.

Soon, they were already inside Boreas Tower. The players couldn't but feel a wave of nostalgia hit them as they entered.

In the past, they usually go here filled with nervousness since their life could be sucked out of their bodies anytime by the monsters. They also felt the same this time but for a different enemy.

Ever since the Excelcis race appeared, the monsters rarely left their nests and caves. They were adraudnto stir up troubled and get taken care of by these terrifying silver monsters.

That is the reason why they quickly fled in fear when they saw the marching players. The players didn't spare them a glance.

Kian lead them to the place where he found the entrance to Aether Castle. The entrance was not that big so they had to enter in small groups.

Kian and Keiko went ahead first since they were the most familiar with the place. If they noticed that something was wrong, they would immediately return.

After they checked the place, they found no traps nor any ambushes. Thus, everyone entered the tunnel and arrived at the floating island.

The place was the same as the last time Kian was here.

The sun in the horizon never really set. The clouds were still rosy as ever and the sky was slightly dark. The beauty of the place instantly captured the hearts of the people.

Ahead of them was a large ruined city. Aether Castle peeked from the tall walls and buildings. Even from afar, it still looked majestic and mysterious.

When the gates of the city opened, the Excelcis were already waiting for them. They were lead by multiple people whose red eye crystals had deeper shades than the rest.

Behind their army stood a huge crystal ball. Unlike the last time the players saw it, the crystal ball sad no longer empty. A huge amount of clear blue liquid that glistened from the sunlight and a little bit of fog could be seen.

The players' had ugly expressions when they saw it. The amount of psyche energy inside the crystal ball indicated the large amounts of humans who were killed for the sake of the Excelcis race's goals.

Although imaginary, a wild and boundless killing intent rose from the army of players. They wanted nothing more than to wipe out these aliens that just appeared out of nowhere and treated them as as an energy source.

"Charge!" Vanish screamed, his sword raised in the aitm

There was no need for anymore preparations or encouragement. The rage in each of the players' hearts willed them to charge through the enemies and fight.
